4 Our products Traditional Sash Windows Our wooden sash windows are made in the UK using traditional construction methods, but have the modern benefit of being double-glazed. Preserving the look of traditional windows is very important to us and that is why we recreate original features and details that are in keeping with the period of your property. All our windows are bespoke and crafted using the timber, glass, paint finish and window furniture of your choice. Our objective is to provide a window that is authentic but has the comforts of modern glazing to suit our 21st century lifestyles. Traditional Window Furniture We offer a range of stylish, quality window furniture for singleand double-glazed sash windows. These include fasteners, sash lifts and D handles that come in a selection of finishes to match your chosen interior design scheme. We also offer insurance rated security locks to match. The London Sash Window Company was able to advise us on what would work best for our Victorian house and source the right timber, glass and mouldings for the period of our property. 5 Secondary Glazing Our secondary glazing will provide you with maximum sound insulation but, importantly has very little impact on the look of your windows. What is secondary glazing? Secondary glazing is a fully independent frame fitted on the room side of an existing window to form a double window or double glazing. We use a system that has been tried and tested for over 40 years. What s more, our secondary glazing can be made with wooden frames and painted to suit your chosen interior styling. Why use secondary glazing? While the main benefit is to reduce noise pollution to an absolute minimum, secondary glazing will also help you conserve energy and improve your home s security. As it does not affect the character of your building, it satisfies Heritage and Conservation bodies if you live in a listed building. Installing secondary glazing has been a revelation. It has made a huge difference to the noise levels in our bedrooms and while I was initially concerned about how they would look against our traditional windows, I am very happy with the end result. 6 Shutters Our shutters are made-to-measure and can be perfectly incorporated into a traditional or modern home. We have a wide selection of finishes, so if you need a particular colour or wood stain, sandblasting, made-to-measure shutter frames or tilt rods, we can provide you with the perfect shutters that will look stunning in your home. What s more, our shutters can be adjusted manually or automatically with one of our innovative remote control options. We are very pleased with the final result. French doors We offer a restoration service for traditional French doors and can repair any damage to the frames and furniture, re-glaze them with toughened glass and give them a full overhaul so that they fit and lock properly. If the damage to your doors is extensive, we can replace them with our bespoke French doors, that are made with regulation toughened glass and wooden frames. Bi-fold doors Bi-fold doors have become increasingly popular as they work so well with our modern way of living seamlessly opening up our interiors to the outside world. Our bi-fold doors are beautifully crafted wooden doors that can be custom-made to match the mouldings and furniture of your existing sash windows.. Exceptional work. The fitter did a detailed assessment of our French doors, noticed cracks, rotten areas and tended to each repair.
