ASSOCIATE OF ARTS The Associate of Arts degree offers students a solid foundation for continuing traditional studies, as well as intellectual and professional growth. The following concentrations are available: CONCENTRATION IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION This program provides a broad base of introductory business-related disciplines. Students completing this degree and concentration are prepared for entry-level positions in business and/or articulation into a bachelor s degree program in business. CONCENTRATION IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION The concentration in Criminal Justice Administration prepares students for many entry level positions in the criminal justice system, including correctional officer, police officer, juvenile hall counselor, or jailer. Students also gain basic skills necessary for better paying security positions, bail enforcement agent, or private investigator apprentice. Some credits earned in the program can be transferred to partially fulfill the requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. CONCENTRATION IN PROFESSIONAL GOLF MANAGEMENT In this concentration, students prepare for careers in professional golf course management by gaining a fundamental understanding of the knowledge and skills required for introductory positions in the golf industry. ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE IN HEALTH SCIENCE AND PRE-NURSING The Associate of Science in Health Science and Pre- Nursing degree is designed to give students a solid foundation for continuing intellectual growth and further professional studies leading to a career in nursing or other health science-related fields.
