1 TRANSFER ARTICULATION AGREEMENT between DOMINICAN COLLEGE and MERCER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE General Stipulations Mercer County Community College (MCCC) students who graduate with an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree in specified programs (see attached list) and with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 will be granted junior or upper-level status at (DC). Certain programs at DC have higher GPA and further admissions standards, as specified in the DC catalogue. Upon transferring into DC, qualified MCCC graduates will be awarded up to a maximum of 70 credits earned at MCCC as applicable to specified programs and/or institutional requirements at DC. For MCCC graduates with an associate s degree, courses for transfer must have been passed with a grade of C- or better. Courses transferred will receive full credit as awarded by MCCC even if the equivalent DC course award is a different number of credits. Each transferring student will be assigned a program faculty advisor, who will assist the student in charting a comprehensive academic program plan allowing for graduation in the shortest time possible, usually two years of full-time study or its part-time equivalent. Students who transfer from MCCC to DC are expected to adhere to general academic policies and procedures required for admission to DC, and to fulfill any particular requirements (regarding GPA, prerequisites, clinical experience, etc.) that may be in place for certain academic programs at DC. The DC catalogue and, in some cases, program-specific student manuals, specify in detail all relevant policies and procedures. Students will not be expected to meet adjusted requirements, if they differ from those as stated in these publications upon the students matriculation at DC. All transfer students will need to satisfy DC General Education Curriculum requirements, which include components in (I) General Skills, (II) Roots of Contemporary Life and Culture, (IIIA) Science, and (IIIB) Values. These requirements are outlined in the DC catalogue. Note: all transfer students are required to complete an English Competency exam regardless of the number of Writing courses completed at MCCC or elsewhere. Students not successful on the exam are provided additional support at DC through the required course Eng. 115, Advanced Writing. Both MCCC and DC agree to keep each other informed of program changes in a timely way. Signature Signature Patricia C.
