4 Introduction These release notes are for Sage OpCos, Sage CRM partners, and Sage CRM customers. Please note that while the document refers to Sage CRM, CRM, or the CRM system throughout, regional products may use different brand names. Who can install this release? The install options available for 7.1 SP1 are as a full install or as a patch. 6 Issues List The following cases have been addressed in Sage CRM version 7.1 Ref ID Area Description Status Net There was no option to call a.net DLL from a custom screen. This is by design. CRM does not support.net API customization on a screen field Address Linking Duplicate row was inserted in address link table. This issue is non-reproducible on v Campaign Not able to edit response code on communication in context of wave activity, but can edit it in context of company. By design. The communication displayed in the context of the wave activity is linked to all the people who were sent the mail shot (or other campaign activity). If an individual response for the communication is captured, this should be done from the communication in the context of the person or company Component Error when installing a component with a very long name and manual line breaks. This issue is non-reproducible Component Component Manager not scripting Send actions correctly. Duplicate of case Companies / People It was possible to create a person without a company link in a lead, even though the system behavior setting, Use Individuals, was set to Yes. This issue has been fixed Companies / People Could not merge a person, who was linked to an Account (integrated system). This is by design Companies / People Company tab on customized system slow to load. Change was made for optimizing phone/ to speed up the time taken to load the communication tab. Recommendation to also archive older communication and comm_link records Companies / People Timeout occurs after changing the default person and deleting the original default person in the ERP system (Sage 200) and then synching to CRM. Note: The primary person must still be set by the Sage 200 table level scripts Core Product Some icons not visible in default and neutral themes under IE6 in v7. This is expected behavior. If you are using IE 6 with v7, it is recommended that you use the Classic theme. Other out-of-the box themes are not fully compatible with IE 6. IE 6 is not supported in v Core Product Dashboard and Export to Excel not working after SQL database location was changed. The JDBC properties are automatically updated when the Database properties are changed via Administration System Database. Warning messages are displayed in the user interface if the automatic update was not completed Core Product CSV File Export Delimiter was not part of CurrentUser object. Required metadata refresh Error displayed when vsearchlistopportunity was modified in order to display company fields on screen. This is by design. An entry screen can only save to one table Deletion roll back not working on custom entity as expected. By design. The following entities can have Entity Level Scripts: Company, Person, E- mail, and Address. Please refer to Creating an Entity Level Script in https://www.sagecrm.com/developerhelp/ for more information Error displayed when trying to create a group or export to file from a search returned from a customized Advanced Find User who did not belong to a team was able to view the Match Rules Admin option, even though SQL had been added to exclude all teams except the Operations team to view Match Rules. Empty Channel ID is also checked Customized Communication search was not returning opportunities, which had communications associated with them An error was displayed after adding custom content to the Case Progress note box Error in customized search select advanced fields for product family and product, which use restrictor fields on each other Changing default value for case status on case filter screen had no effect. This is by design. Search select advanced fields with circular references are not allowed. The restrictor drop-down field no longer displays fields where the current field is used as a restrictor. This issue is non-reproducible on v Component Manager not scripting Send actions correctly. Duplicate case of Sage CRM 7.1 SP1 Release Notes Page 5 of 11

8 Ref ID Area Description Status Database A custom list created under the Person entity, which linked to an external table, showed the name of the entity as the Person - instead of the external table entity Data Upload Data upload, spell checker and export to file not working as expected. Closed by design. Web sites, other than CRM, were using port 80, and caused errors with some CRM features. CRM should be the only web site using this port Data Upload Data upload, export to file, and spell checker not working as expected. This issue has been closed. After some configuration changes at the customer site, the issue was no longer reproducible Comms/Diary When creating a follow up task, the Due and Start Date time are the same as the original task. This is by design. The follow-up task takes the due and start date time from the original task Comms/Diary sent from Find results list to a company, which had the same business as another company, was not saved in the correct company context. This issue is solved Comms/Diary End time on appointment was not adjusting to the customization set on the End time field Comms/Diary CreateScript customization was not being applied when switching between My CRM Calendar and List views Comms/Diary Person text on a task displayed in Calendar View appears duplicated Comms/Diary Viewing the attachment on a mail merge communication (to multiple people) in the context of an individual company or person, still displays all the merged form letters Comms/Diary Cannot sort task list in My CRM Calendar by high priority first. This is by design. The design will be reviewed in the next major release Documentation A query arose about whether Windows 2008 Web Edition, SQL Server 2008 Web Edition and SQL 2008 Workgroup Edition are supported. This issue is closed. Standard and Enterprise editions are supported in v7.1 Latest product support matrix reflects this Documentation Hide CRM View button was documented in User Guide section on Outlook Plug-in (Classic). This button no longer exists. The documentation has been updated to reflect the software Client When a user forwarded an to a person who was not in CRM, the body of the was overwritten by their default template. 9 Ref ID Area Description Status Client No "Send Anyway Using Outlook" option when sending an to an address, which did not exist in CRM Export Data An SQL error occurred when exporting a company list (in an integrated Accpac system), when the data included companies with and without "term code" entries Dashboard (Interactive) SLA status icon does not display in the same way on the Interactive Dashboard as it does in the My CRM Cases list. This is by design. The dashboard does not automatically convert columns to images, and hard-coding for SLA was not desirable. An enhancement request to change this behavior can be logged Dashboard (Interactive) An error was displayed on an interactive dashboard which used data from a report, which used a custom view containing alias's Install / Upgrade Error when installing CRM using an SQL Admin user with a password beginning with "&". This is by design. The following three characters cannot be used at the start of a password - # & $ Library and Templates Document merge (Edit a global template then merge option) not working as expected if Create Communication option unchecked Key Attribute Data Not able to delete a key attribute field, even though no data was stored in it. This issue is non-reproducible Mobile A change to the user preference, My Default Find Screen, was not reflected in CRM when accessing from a Blackberry mobile device Mobile Appointment does not show company or person name on Blackberry. This is by design. If these details are required on drill-down, a new custom mobile screen can be created Notification Error when using #recordanchor# and #recordanchorend# in notification Opportunities Case/Opportunity pipeline filter does not show correct results if the opportunity or case has no Stage Opportunities New person added while editing an Opportunity was not visible in Company person list Opportunities New Opportunity Item pop-up window not resizing Outlook Integ - Classic Cursor is not focussed on first field on Find or New when running CRM from within Outlook. This issue cannot be fixed and is closed. This is a limitation of the Outlook web browser functionality, which does not support the full range of CSS and Javascript methods. Users have to carry additional step to select "All Files" so that Word 2007 files are selectable. Local file search includes.docx and.dotx files Soap Quotes / Orders SQL error when an entity was created and deleted again in ERP before synchronization was run. CRM logs a warning message and continues with the synchronization Related Entities Opportunity relationship not deleted on both sides of the relationship Reports Impersonated User Password (Administration and Documents Documents & Reports Configuration) does not accept #. This is by design. Password must be alphanumeric Sales Forecasting Error when system date changed to force new forecasting quarters. This issue is non-reproducible. If new forecast quarters/years are required, these should be added via Administration Translations, for example: Caption Code: 2011-Q1, Caption Family: Quarter, Capt Family Type: Choices, Translation (US/UK etc.): Quarter GCRM Integration All fields were displaying on one line in customized account screen GCRM Integration Table level scripts were not working as expected on Accounts Groups / Target Lists Advanced Find with Quotes, which used the Net Amount field, produced a SQL error. This issue is non-reproducible on v Security A user can assign companies to users who are not in the same "home" territory. This is by design Translation (English prod) Sales forecasting captions for 2011 missing Translation (English prod) Caption change on Search Select Advanced field could not be saved because Family Type was blank User Interface Duplicate tooltip text in meeting planner. This issue is not reproducible in v User Interface Alt + L shortcut for Clear button on search is missing in German version User Customized required field (on user screen) not mandatory when adding a new user. This issue is non-reproducible User User inactivity does not accurately reflect inactivity if user was logged out of system automatically. A new field has been created - Last Action - which stores the time stamp of the last user action in CRM with a precision of 30 seconds. Sage CRM 7.1 SP1 Release Notes Page 8 of 11

11 Ref ID Area Description Status User Password expiry date was displaying even though Password Never Expires was set to true. The Expiry Date is ignored when the Password Expiry Date is set to true. However, to clarify in the user interface, the Password Expiry Date field is hidden when Password Never Expires set to true User Cannot run sysadmin logon via url (bypassing logon screen) unless on the CRM server. This issue has been fixed Workflow templates associated with Send E- mail workflow action no longer present after upgrade from v6.1 to v6.2. This issue was fixed in v Workflow When using Create Document for Group workflow action within opportunity workflow, the "Get Group From" field displays opportunity fields, not a list of groups. This is by design. To use this action you need a field on the table to store the group ID Workflow Workflow rules containing Javascript not displayed on Dashboard Workflow Error when editing Set Column Value action on a conditional rule Workflow Error displayed when a new workflow rule, which had "30%" in the rule name, was dragged and dropped onto the workflow tree Workflow Global workflow rule for custom entity, which used the Create Task action, did not populate the web picker with the details from the custom entity. 12 Known Issues The following known issues exist with Sage CRM version 7.1 Ref ID Area Description Status E-Marketing After drip marketing stage dates are set, they are not validated if they are edited later. For example, if one stage of a drip marketing campaign is later edited so that it now takes place at the same date/time as another stage, and the recipients for each stage previously depended on the results of each other - the filter can no longer be accurately executed E-marketing Drip Marketing call list wave activity with over 6000 recipients was executed for only 5000 recipients. This is a known issue due for resolution in a future release. Known issue. Limit on drip marketing call list activities of Workaround is to restrict the recipients for call list stages to under This issue will be addressed in a future release GCRM Integration GCRM Integration Conflict priorities - ERP winning when CRM conflict priority is higher. Contact deletion conflict not being resolved - ERP is "winning" the conflict instead of CRM. This is a known issue for resolution in a future release. This is a known issue due for resolution in a future release Self Service In an Oracle install of Sage CRM, the Self Service User Name and Password fields are missing from the Company and Person Self Service tabs. It is therefore not possible to set up self service access for named users. This is a known issue, which will be resolved in a future release. Supplementary Information for Documentation The following cases provide supplementary information to the Documentation and Help shipped with Sage CRM version 7.1 Ref ID Area Description Status Dashboard (Interactive) New user preference: My Default Company/Account Screen. Can be set to Summary or Dashboard. When user drills into company/account, either the Summary tab or the Dashboard tab is displayed, depending on the preference set. Default is Dashboard. 13 More Notes on this Release The following notes provide supplementary information to the Documentation and Help shipped with Sage CRM version 7.1 Drip Marketing When setting up a Drip Call List stage, it is recommended that the wave activity should be scheduled at least two days after any stage that it depends on. Call lists get generated by Swiftpage at MT, however they do not get created in CRM until the next time the nightly synchronization runs. If the night sync runs at GMT, the call list will not be available for execution in CRM until then. This means a user will not be able execute and return the call list results for a stage scheduled the day after. When the call list gets executed the results in CRM are synced back in the next night sync. If a stage was scheduled to execute on the day, which depended on the call list stage it would be skipped as Swiftpage do not yet know the results.
