Proofs Proofs assured if copy in by 20th of month, proofs via /fax are $10.00 (inclusive of GST). Preferred Format High resolution PDF or JPEG (Minimum 300dpi). Do not include Trim or Registration Marks. Typeface We prefer all fonts to be embedded/converted to paths or curves. Any fonts not in use by our system will be matched as closely as possible. Minimum 6pt font size or 8pt for reversed type. Colour Images should be CMYK or greyscale. All colours in the file to be formatted process colour NOT spot colour. Any screens used should NOT be less than 10%. Advertisement Sizes Advertisements must be created to the correct size of the advertisement according to space sold. 6 INSERT OPTIONS INSERT OPTIONS Loose Insert A loose flyer/brochure which is inserted randomly between the pages of CAM after CAM is printed and bound, at no particular page position. Must be presented as smaller than the page size of CAM, for example, an A4 flyer will need to be folded in half. CAM is American Quarto size. Usually inserted by machine unless the insert is too thick (several pages) or an unusual shape (toy give away, CD etc), then inserts are done by hand and incur an extra cost for labour. Onsert A loose item put with CAM on the outside of the magazine to be included in the plastic postal wrapping. Onserts can be attached to the magazine by removable glue. These require a separate quotation. Usually included on the back of CAM so that the CAM front cover is clean. Must be American Quarto (same size as CAM) or smaller. Heavy weighted onserts such as another magazine or catalogue will require a separate quotation for costs of postage. Bound Inserts An insert which is bound into CAM, glued at the spine as a permanent item i.e. it appears to be special stand out page(s) of CAM. Minimum of TWO pages i.e. one sheet of paper printed both sides. Can be 2, 4, 6, 8 or more pages. Printed on different stock (paper) than CAM inner pages. Usually printed on the same stock as the CAM cover. Can only be inserted at specific positions (between printers sections, always between first 32 and last 32 pages) within the magazine as determined by the Publisher and the Printer. Can be exact same page size. These will need to be supplied in accordance with specifications as trim allowance is required. Can be part size of the magazine page, i.e. a half page horizontal or vertical or even two thirds the size of the page. Part size will need to be designed for trimming as per the full size insert requirements. Must be designed and complete with instructions for positioning at either the top (header) or bottom (footer) of the magazine page. Can be supplied ready to insert or can be printed by Anvil Publishing. Can be perforated for ease of reader tear out and reply cards. Gatefold A bound insert of 1 sheet which folds out to be 4 pages. Can be supplied ready to insert or can be printed by Anvil Publishing. Can be perforated for ease of reader tear out and reply cards. Printed on different stock (paper) than CAM inner pages. Usually printed on the same stock as the CAM cover. Acceptance of insert/onsert is at the discretion of Anvil Publishing, Printer and NZ Post. Advertising Standards concerning content and material apply. If the insert/onsert is supplied by the client it must be ready to be inserted. If the insert falls outside of the required dimensions and requires folding, an extra cost will be incurred. The inserts/onserts must be supplied to the Printers factory before the 20th of the month. A sample of the insert/onsert must be supplied to Anvil Publishing at the time of booking. Any insert/onsert can be printed by Anvil Publishing. This is a separate quotation process based on requirements. Design costs are no extra charge. Placement of inserts/onserts constitutes an acceptance of Anvil Publishing Ltd s Terms and Conditions of Trade. A copy may be obtained by phoning or accessed from. Anvil Publishing Limited will not be liable for any omissions or mistakes caused by faulty copy received by any method including, but not limited to, mail, courier or electronic. 2. Anvil Publishing Limited will not be liable for any copy not received by due date. 3. Anvil Publishing Limited will not be liable for any misuse of third party intellectual designs, logos, or statements misrepresented by the client. 4. Anvil Publishing Limited advises that it makes no guarantee of any date of publication but will use its best endeavours to meet any advertised date. 5. The client warrants that nothing in the advertisement(s) lodged by them for publication constitutes a breach of trademark, patent or copyright or constitutes a defamation or contains any illegality whatsoever for which Anvil Publishing Limited may be liable. 6. The client indemnifies Anvil Publishing Limited against any liability for any expense howsoever incurred as a consequence of there being a breach of trade mark, patent or copyright or contains defamatory or illegal statements inadvertently or otherwise and notwithstanding the warranty given in clause 5 above. 7. Upon Anvil Publishing Limited agreeing to open a credit account for the client the client agrees that: a: Payment will be made in full without deductions on the 20th of the month following the invoice date. b: The client will pay interest of 2% a month on any overdue portion of the account. c: Anvil Publishing Limited may stop any credit facilities without notice. d: In the event of late payment of any amounts by the client to Anvil Publishing Limited, the client will pay any collection costs including but not limited to solicitor and client costs incurred by Anvil Publishing Limited in the collection of overdue amounts. e: Any debt outstanding beyond the standard terms of trade may be registered with a national credit rating agency, as a default debtor. 8. The client authorises Anvil Publishing Limited to request such information as it may require in regard to making credit facilities available to the client. 9. The client authorises Anvil Publishing Limited to supply any third party any details contained in the application for credit and details of any subsequent transactions between the parties. 10.
