Introduction This 3-day hands-on workshop starts with the architecture and all the components of the CSF service delivery platform (SDP). The CSF components include Session, Service Catalog, Identity Manager, and Profile Management. The CSF concepts that allow dynamic service collaborations such as Session Manifest, Participant Manifest, Routing Criteria, Interception and Persona are also covered as well as concepts that help develop applications for CSF such as Well-Enabled Services (WES), CSF Adapters, Standard Business Events (SBE). Most of the principles of CSF that are covered are reinforced with demonstrations and hands-on labs in C#. The course also covers CSF setup, operations, and deployment issues from a developer's perspective. Experience with ASP.NET Web Services, SOAP, Web Service Enhancements (WSE). Experience with the Microsoft.NET Framework, C#, Visual Studio (VS.Net), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA). Microsoft Certified Professional Exams

Course Outline Module 1: Introduction to CSF What is CSF? Why use CSF? CSF Architecture and Components At the end of this module, you will be able to outline the rationale for and benefits of using CSF. These include: The need for CSF. Listing the main components of CSF. Investigating scenarios for CSF solutions. Outlining a few designs using Service orientation, Web services, and service delivery. Understanding the architecture of a CSF based solution. Module 2: Session CSF Component Overview of Session CSF component. Benefits of Session CSF component. CSF Session component functional blocks. At the end of this module, you will be able to analyze the role Session Component plays in CSF. This includes: Listing the benefits of Session CSF component. Understanding the architecture of the functional blocks of Session CSF component. Using Session CSF component in designing a solution for a business problem. Module 3: CSF Consumer SDK Overview of CSF consumer SDK. Overview of CSF consumer SDK for use with Session CSF component. Using CSF consumer SDK in a Client Windows Application. At the end of this module, you will be able to use CSF consumer SDK to interact with the Session CSF component. This includes: Interacting with Session CSF Component using CSF consumer SDK.
