The BodyTom easily interfaces with all surgical navigation systems that utilize DICOM images. Intraoperative images can be uploaded to surgical navigation via PACS connection, direct network cable link, wireless transmission ( a/b/g/n) or digital media transfer device (CD/USB). The BodyTom portable CT provides affordable high quality intraoperative imaging of bone and soft tissue for use in any procedure, enhancing neuro-navigation and surgical outcomes. The unique combination of internal lead shielding and advanced on board battery system allows any standard emergency/trauma bay to be transformed into an advanced CT imaging suite. The ability to perform high quality CT scans in an ICU can dramatically improve both efficiency of care and patient safety. 5 The BodyTom was designed with patient and staff safety in mind. The core system comes standard with internal lead shielding to help safe guard against unnecessary scatter exposure. Additional protection is provided by a built-in lead shield mounted to the BodyTom imaging workstation. It is a portable, full body, 32 slice CT scanner that boasts an impressive 85 cm gantry and 60 cm field of view (FOV). The BodyTom can interface with PACS, HIS/RIS, and surgical navigation systems. Its unique capabilities provide high quality CT images wherever needed, including the OR, Trauma Bay, ED, ICU, Radiology Department, Radiosurgery, and Interventional Suite. The BodyTom Portable Imaging Station comes installed with a 3D advanced visualization software package allowing for 2D, 3D and MPR viewing.
