From webbased risk management reporting tools to volumes of operational best practice information, the toolkit allows our ESMs to have access to the information they need to support our clients. 4 Embedded Security Managers A key part of our consulting services offer is providing clients with Embedded Security Managers (ESMs). These are subjectmatter experts in their respective geographic areas of operation and the industry sectors they support. Candidates are hand picked, based on strong personal references and previous experience of working with GardaWorld. The ESMs work within a client organization with support, where required, from GardaWorld management teams to provide a bespoke yet turnkey security solution. Their focus ranges from analyzing security requirements and the broader company goals to working closely with project teams to identify potential threats and opportunities. They also ensure that there is a seamless transition through the planning phases to the delivery of security services. We offer two levels of support, tailored to the client s requirements: Fully embedded ESMs are fully embedded into your organization, reporting directly to your management team as a member of your company structure. The ESM will enjoy the full reachback of all GardaWorld operational capabilities but will be supported by your firm with regards to life support (lodging), office space, transportation, incountry registrations, travel, etc. Our ESM will truly be one of your staff but benefits from links into GardaWorld and our company contacts and experience worldwide. Partially embedded ESMs are embedded into your organization, reporting both to your management team and to GardaWorld management. We will provide the ESM with full reachback to all of our GardaWorld services, and we will also support the ESM with life support, HR, communications, travel support, visas and transportation. This format allows you the benefit of a dedicated security manager, without the requirement to provide any logistics. With GardaWorld handling vetting, recruitment, training, travel and HR via our dedicated support offices, clients are free to focus on their core business and are not required to devote inhouse resources to security management. Our global recruitment network, which uses our online Applicant Tracking System, allows us to secure the bestqualified personnel in the shortest time and has a standby list of over 1,000 skilled and trained personnel. All of our ESMs are from military, law enforcement or equivalent backgrounds, and undergo a rigorous vetting process to ensure that they have an intimate knowledge of the areas of operations in which they are deployed. All new personnel go through a series of induction, training and welcome information held on the companywide online Career Development Center. This training platform enables us to ensure compliance with elements such as the International Code of Conduct and Rules for the Use of Force (RUF), and abide by our published GardaWorld Code of Business Ethics and Standards of Conduct. Our ESMs receive daily, weekly and monthly intelligenceled security support from our dedicated risk analysts around the world in order to provide threat advice to our clients. Our analysts are also able to provide bespoke reporting to suit a client s individual requirements, such as cultural and local environment advice and travel and threat advice, in order to ensure successful operations. The reports are invaluable to all levels of an organization, from international experts at a global headquarters to roving regional managers covering multiple countries and seasoned local nationals at project level. Our approach and Standing Operating Procedures are based on our proven methodology of intelligenceled, community acceptancefocused, lowprofile and risk avoidancebased operations. This has proven to be efficient and highly suitable for clients across many markets and environments.
