1 Organizational Salary Survey 2014

2 Introduction The United Way of Rock River Valley Organizational Salary Survey was developed in 2004 as a result of a need to determine market parity within the nonprofit sector in our community. The level of staff salaries for nonprofit agencies continues to be a critical concern. The following study includes salary ranges of participating nonprofit organizations, reported by position, in a survey compiled during the spring of The reported information includes job titles and salary ranges. Every attempt was made to eliminate discrepancies caused by variations in job descriptions for similar job titles between organizations. The 2014 report also contains information that had not been included in previous reports, specifically: details on the insurance and benefits offered by nonprofits, and the impact (current and potential) of the Affordable Care Act on health insurance costs for agencies. The 2014 survey was created, distributed, analyzed, and this report created through a partnership between United Way of Rock River Valley and the Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence of Rockford University. Jennifer Smith, NICNE Graduate Assistant, served as Data Manager for this project. We are deeply appreciative to the 95 agencies that completed the survey and allowed UWRRV and NICNE to provide this tool for the nonprofits in our community.
