4 One baby, One bed From L & D to NICU Giraffe OmniBed A full-featured incubator. A radiant warmer. With the touch of a button, the Giraffe OmniBed converts from one to the other. Less stress for the baby. More access for you. The Giraffe OmniBed is a combination system that brings together the best features of a traditional incubator and a radiant warmer. The variable clinical space improves the quality of care by reducing stress to the baby, family and staff.

5 A solution for all points of care As an incubator, the unique bi-directional airflow through double walls of the Giraffe OmniBed provides a stable thermal environment. When either door is opened, the Boost Air Curtain protects the infant from heat loss. As a radiant warmer, the Giraffe OmniBed evenly heats the entire mattress without warming the caregiver. The baby receives heat uniformly, regardless of position on the bed, for all procedural interventions, including X-ray. The Giraffe OmniBed addresses fast-changing patient needs within the NICU as well as Labor & Delivery care areas. The stable thermal environment across both modes and easy transportability minimizes handling. Instant, three-sided access promotes procedural ease while enhancing unit workflow. 6 Transforming care delivery Giraffe Warmer NICU babies in any environment need a warm, comfortable bed to support their development. The Giraffe Warmer provides uninterrupted thermal support while at the same time giving the caregiver complete access and visibility. Newly integrated features and options minimize the amount of extra equipment in the care area. The new Hourglass Heat Profile optimizes heat coverage for the mattress and baby while minimizing heat to caregivers. The recessed heater provides unequalled access and consistent heat therapy during interventions. Heat where you need it The Hourglass Heat Profile provides uniform coverage across the mattress.

7 A new level of neonatal care The controls have a full-color display that is easy to read, even from a distance. Full color trends track temperature, pulse rate, SpO 2 and weight. The Hands Free Alarm Silence allows you to control alarms without touching a surface during a procedure. The elimination of alarms during warmup mode keeps the area quiet and friendly for the baby, family and staff. The built-in dimmable observation lights and aimable procedure light are standard on the Giraffe Warmer and reduce the need for additional lighting. They are fully adjustable to provide the lighting you need, when and where you need it. Advanced care options are available for the NICU too. The integrated resuscitation option helps to standardize the resuscitation practice within the NICU. Capture oxygen saturation data with the integrated SpO 2 option. 8 Promoting healthy growth Giraffe Incubator Tiny, fragile babies in the NICU need a peaceful, stable environment to grow and thrive. The unique features of the Giraffe Incubator help to support growth and stability of the patient. It provides the caregiver with control of light, noise, heat, humidity and oxygen to promote developmental care. Proportional Control and Cascade Control keeps pace with the infants thermal needs reducing potential environmental stress to the baby. During an intervention, the Boost Air Curtain increases fan speed to support air temperature within the environment. Stressed babies and anxious parents will appreciate the WhisperQuiet Mode. It reduces unnecessary noise to create the quietest, most soothing environment possible. The lower fan speed of the mode reduces ambient noise and encourages relaxation. Alarm speakers located in the base further minimize noise stimulation to the baby. And, alarm volume can be manually adjusted for additional noise level reduction. The proportionally designed hood surface allows for X-ray clarity, and promotes visibility without distortion, keeping the baby in full view of the caregiver and family. The design allows parents to sit comfortably to reduce stress and enhance access to their newborn to promote healthy, nurturing interactions.

For the clinician, these features can help you achieve a higher standard of care. The patented Baby Susan rotating mattress minimizes unnecessary baby stimulation. It rotates 360 to ensure proper positioning for all types of procedures without disturbing the infant. The Baby Susan can slide out of the microenvironment to promote parental bonding and family-centered care. Large, drop down doors allow quick, easy access to the infant from either side of the bed for parents and caregivers. The layered, Giraffe Pressure-Diffusing Mattress is designed to promote infant care by providing a softer support surface, and may help relieve pressure points and preserve skin integrity. Bed tilt offers smooth, continuous, 12 Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg tilts. An elevating base offers a broad adjustable range to ensure a comfortable working height for procedures. Or family interaction. Exclusive Dovetail Rail System facilitates quick attachment and detachment of accessories and equipment, eliminating separate space-consuming mounting systems and supports. Integrated scale allows quick and easy assessment and trending of the baby s development. 10 Focused therapy GE Healthcare s Giraffe SPOT PT Lite provides intensive phototherapy for infants and is designed to be used in both the NICU and the Well Baby Nursery. Mounting flexibility allows the system to be included with all Giraffe infant care beds including the Giraffe OmniBed, Giraffe Incubator and Giraffe Warmer. As part of GE s Giraffe platform, the Giraffe SPOT PT Lite was designed to promote developmental care for the newborn. The compact size and mounting options allow for fast, easy positioning, saving on both time and space. It s friendly to caregivers and parents.
