Méndez University System since the last 40 years distinguished career in higher education in Puerto Rico and abroad. The System encompasses four main institutions: Universidad del Turabo, Universidad Metropolitana, Universidad del Este (UNE) and Ana G. Méndez University-Virtual with 15 off-campus University Centers that serve more than 44,300 students in Puerto Rico, and 4 universities campus in Florida, Maryland and UNE Campus in Washington, DC., USA. It also includes the Telecommunications and Distance Learning Center and the first Public Broadcasting System privately operated television station in Puerto Rico, Sistema TV/Channel 40.
