2 The Effective People Manager The Effective People Manager will give you the opportunity to focus intensely on your role and responsibilities as a people manager. It will support you with the non-technical challenges of your career and expand your skills in leading individuals and teams. What are the key challenges for a manager? How will you personally benefit? This program will help you: Find out about the expectations others have of you in this role, and deal with them effectively Coordinate activities and assign overall responsibility Motivate and develop your team members Manage teams successfully Expand your personal network within the company Program Characteristics What elements does the program have? How can I efficiently perform my managerial tasks? The Effective People Manager is a modular training program. The individual training modules are all based on the same approach blended learning. That means that the training is a mix of different learning formats, both to account for an individual s learning style, and to communicate the contents effectively and make them easy to apply on the job. You can choose to register for the entire training programme or only for a single module. Program Length 3 days from 9:30 to 17:30 Course Location KPMG in Romania Training Centre * Course delivery is conditional on a minimum number of participants.

3 Training Module Contents What will be learned in the individual training modules? Managing Performance 29 May 2013 The focus of this module is on the skills needed to manage and motivate staff effectively. You will learn to: Contribute to a performance management culture Understand Motivation principles Define clear goals and expectations Use constructive feedback to encourage change Conduct performance reviews Handle difficult situations. How can I lead employees and teams effectively? Managing Delegation 30 May 2013 The focus of this module is on skills necessary for delegating effectively. You will learn to: Define objectives more clearly and precisely state the task to be delegated. Learn about the importance and benefits of effective delegating as a manager. Identify personal barriers that stand in the way of delegating, and develop strategies for overcoming them. Use a coaching approach to support team members in developing their full potential. Understand, diagnose and respond to team member needs. Match needs and check for action through delegation Managing Teams 31 st May 2013 This module focuses on leading teams and the role of the team leader in implementing successful changes. You will learn to: Increase your understanding of leadership competencies. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the team and manage them successfully. Diagnose training problems that can impede team progress Develop action strategies for dealing with problem situations in the team Resolve team conflicts

4 Our Trainers Madalina Racovitan People Services Leader, Tax Partner Madalina is a Tax Partner and the Leader of the People Services team at KPMG in Romania, which includes the People & Change, Payroll Outsourcing, Compensation & Benefits, and International Executive Services teams as well as Legal and Advisory services on HR related issues. Madalina has extensive experience in coordinating large teams both locally and internationally. She has led a number of training projects for clients from various industries in Romania, where she acted both as a Project leader and as a trainer. She has also provided numerous KPMG internal training courses on topics like taxation, social security, business development skills, management, selling or negotiation for KPMG managers. Claudia Stan Manager, Management Consulting People & Change Within the People & Change team of KPMG in Romania, Claudia provides assistance to clients on HR matters. Claudia has been an L&D professional for 10 years and has extensive experience in designing and implementing training programmes for KPMG staff and external clients. She is involved in a wide range of activities such as designing curricula and course outlines, preparing writing materials as well as delivering and evaluating courses. Claudia holds international KPMG accreditations on Performance Management and enabling skills topics like Feedback, Coaching, the Performance Management process and Behavioural Capabilities. Iulia Sandu Senior Advisor, Management Consulting - People & Change As a part of the KPMG team, Iulia has been responsible for the development and implementation of training and consultancy programs for various companies in different fields, from telecoms and insurance to banking, as well as for developing internal training programs. She delivers over 100 days of training and consultancy per year, on topics like: communication skills, presentations skills, customer interaction, time management, leadership, emotional intelligence, HR Fundamentals (Performance Management, Recruitment, Learning and Development, Talent Management). She has designed integrated programs, delivering complete solutions for evaluating service quality, recognizing performance, improving time management and communication skills.
