2 WHO WE ARE PWDO is a grassroots, non-profit organization that aims to uplift the local web design industry in the Philippines by championing professionalism and excellence in crafting interfaces for the Web. To accomplish this, our core team of volunteers organizes conferences, meet-ups, and hackathons to sharpen the skills of Filipino web designers & developers, from students to professionals.

4 OUR STORY PWDO started in September 2008, when several of us gathered because we wanted to have a web design conference in the Philippines. We held the first MiniFFC meet-up by the end of October, registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation in March 2009, and on July 10 th launched the first <form> function &.class conference. Since then we ve expanded our conference format to include workshops, created a Junior FFC for students, held a code camp on Ruby on Rails for Designers, and organized a pro-bono website building hackathon for charities/non-profits called Caritakathon. We ve done all this on our own free time. Get the whole story at

8 PROJECTS OVERVIEW Our Audience Majority are professionals who work in corporations, agencies, studios, startups, & independent outfits. Smaller percentage are students in CS/IT & Arts/Design courses. You ll talk to designers, front-end developers, back-end developers, & hybrid designers/developers. We take pride in having a fairly balanced gender ratio (60% male & 40% female) as a tech group. 9 FORM FUNCTION & CLASS November 14 The pioneering web design conference in the Philippines & Asia. Draws crowds of over 300 professionals & students of web design and other related fields: HTML, CSS, JS, UX, Interaction Design, Mobile, Business, etc. FFC has brought in top names in the industry including Jina Bolton, Sacha Greif, John Allsopp; we have also welcomed delegates from provinces & neighbor countries.

14 JUNIOR FFC To be announced The first student web design conference, organized by the UST TomasinoWeb in association with PWDO and other student organizations. Comprises 2 days with conference & workshop sessions targeting 200 students.
