Since most of our exposure to sports is mediated through media (watching events on television, listening to sports talk radio, reading sports magazine, or surfing sports news websites), there will be special attention to how the media contributes to the ongoing discourse in this area. Theatre 101: Introduction to Theatre Jachimiak An examination of the process by which dramatic literature becomes theatre. The course examines the forms of comedy, tragedy, and their offshoots as well as the elements of theatre structure, character, language, scenography and the styles of theatre with an emphasis on modernism and post-modernism. This course does not meet major requirements. This is an online course. 11

This course includes an emphasis on pacifist religious movements and may be counted toward a minor in peace studies. Political Science 104: International Politics Aleprete A study of politics among states and other actors who affect global relations.
