High Efficiency Video Coding ( H.265 ) predecessor H.264 = Advanced Video Coding, MPEG-4 AVC 50% bit rate saving compared to H % bit rate saving compared to MPEG-2 (in DVB-T transmissions) Decoding slightly more demanding than AVC Schedule for standard: January 2013 Takes a couple of years to enter consumer market by Christmas season 2014?
