2 History of CLEMIS (Courts Law Enforcement Information System) One of the first regional RMS systems in the USA IBM Mainframe - internally developed Expanded to CAD and Mobile Data Terminals CLEMIS customers wanted: Better access to data Increased functionality Graphical User Interface Integration with GIS (mapping) Field collection of reports, citations, accidents Oakland County decided to purchase rather than build the next generation of CLEMIS CLEMIS Page 2
