3 C&W I have! Need to put flyers in the school of nursing. Friendly staff, very empathetic, very helpful It s helping me create a structured time, which is significantly reducing my stress. I already have. I have mentioned it to my friend, but she goes to the University of Alabama. 8. I have several appts set up but have not talked to anyone. Still have a lot to accomplish here. Thank you very much. Wish I had known about this service sooner!! I would not be sane right now and think I would have ended up in a psych ward or a
4 heart attack from stress. Better understanding of myself and processing through the situations in my life has led to overall improvement. I ve been battling to stay focused in college along with appreciating myself. They are providing a lot of help and guidance to keep me motivated to better myself. It has been a wonderful experience. I would probably have significantly harmed myself if I had not seen a counselor. Too soon. 11. What suggestions would you make for new and/or improved services and programs? WC ne. More support groups for various mental health issues. C&W ne. (Two students) I wish the program reached a larger group of students by providing an on the green display to help encourage students to seek help. N/A Everybody is great! Everything has been amazing! More group sessions More handouts Anger management BPD support group Change the somber jazz music Sexual abuse survivors group Have some air circulating in the waiting room. It s always so hot! 12. Please list three things you have learned in counseling. WC 1. To be myself, accept adversity and to live fully. 2. how to breathe, don t have to hold everything in, and to listen to my inner child 3. Boundaries, calm 4. how to make connections w/issues from my past, expressing myself is key it s not healthy to keep my thoughts buried C&WC 1. Need to do things to de-stress for myself. I can t just study all the time w/o balance 2. Time management, anxiety reduction/relation, balancing my life, prioritizing 3. It s ok to be introverted, asking for help doesn t make you weak, the people in your your life have a huge impact on you 4. How to build a habit, how to make a structured schedule, how to stay motivated 5. Family truly impacts behaviors, think through things before reacting, meditation is helpful 6 How to control my anxiety. How to be more forward with people. That I should not be ashamed to have bipolar disorder.
5 7. Anxiety reduction, feeling management, personal insight 8. Don t listen to my inner critic, talking about my problems helps, perspective is everything 9. How to control anger, how to use strategies to cope, and how to think differently about situations 10. Self-identification lessened catastrophe, self-reliance and strength 11. Self-control, patience, forgiveness 12. Patience, coping skills, treatment 13. Perspective, management, patience 14. Boundaries, trust, faith in myself 15. Priorities, focus on myself more, time management 16. I have a lot of anger 17. Believing in myself, don t be hesitant to speak up, only I can help myself 18. Self-acceptance, confidence, more positive outlook 19 Focus on myself more to be happy. I can stop myself from negative thinking, being independent is something that comes easier the more I try 20. Everything can t be explain with logic, it s okay for men to feel, it can always be worse 21. Consistency, balance, self-reflection. 22. How to be patient, think things through, and to forgive myself for the past. 23. I can say no, it s ok to focus on me, and being emotional and crazy
