Committing to the future Everything under control: With testo Saveris TM, measurement data are under control everywhere.

Unlimited data monitoring. Whether stationary or mobile. The data monitoring system testo Saveris measures the temperature and humidity values of sensitive goods and products in the environment, in processes and during transport. The easy-to-use measurement system delivers safety and savings in time and costs thanks to automated measurement data recording. In stationary operation, the transfer of the measurement data takes place via wireless and/or Ethernet connection to a base station. This documents and monitors all measurement data. If limit values are exceeded, a whole range of different alarm options, such as SMS/ alarm or alarm relay is available. Remote alarms can even be given when the system is not connected to a running PC. 2

If measurement parameters are documented during transport, the driver receives all necessary information and alarms from a Cockpit Unit in the driver s cabin. Documentation and monitoring takes place via wireless probes, the timeconsuming installation of wired sensors in the truck is unnecessary. At the same time, the possibility of printing out measurement values at the handover of goods, using an infrared printer, also exists. All data recorded, whether stationary or on the road, are centrally stored in a software. At the same time, Saveris allows the comprehensive analysis and evaluation of all recorded measurement data. With testo Saveris, all measurement data are under control, whether stationary or on the road. 3

Overview of application areas Monitoring of processes in the pharmaceutical industry In the pharmaceutical industry, high demands are placed on the recording and monitoring of quality parameters. Constant documentation during the production, storage and transportation of temperature-sensitive products such as medicines, blood products or cell cultures has long been considered an absolute must. testo Saveris automates the central documentation of measurement data as well as the safe monitoring of refrigerated and deep-freeze rooms, incubators and climate cabinets. At the same time, the system allows the uninterrupted recording of measurement data, even during the transport of temperature or humidity-critical products such as medicaments or vaccines. This means testo Saveris offers the optimum control of production and storage, via transport, up to delivery. The comprehensive alarm management allows fast alarming if limit values are violated. Thanks to a combination of wireless and/or Ethernet probes, the system is optimum for many different applications in the pharmaceutical industry. It goes without saying that the data monitoring system testo Saveris meets the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11. 4

Monitoring of the building climate When monitoring the building climate, stable ambient conditions are especially necessary in museums and archives in order to protect sensitive and expensive objects. During transportation, valuable goods must be constantly monitored. testo Saveris automates the central recording of all climate data, stationary as well as during transport. By issuing alarms when limit values are exceeded, testo Saveris protects valuable inventory from undesired temperature or humidity influences at all times. The radio probe can be flexibly attached to locations without the effort of routing cables. Monitoring of processes in research and development, laboratories and hospitals Research and development areas as well as laboratories and hospitals are responsible for the recording of ambient and process data in order to monitor sensitive products or machines. However, the monitoring of temperature and humidity-critical goods during transport is also crucial for a high standard of quality. testo Saveris carries out the central documentation of the measurement series, for stationary as well as for transport applications. testo Saveris thus guarantees the simple and ure monitoring of climate and process data in air conditioning chambers, refrigerators, drying chambers, test benches or blood banks. If critical values are to be monitored during transport, testo Saveris offers the optimum solution. 5

Overview of application areas Monitoring the foodstuff cooling chain Compliance with predefined temperature values is a decisive factor for quality in food production and is important for complying with legal hygiene standards. However, the decisive factor is the uninterrupted monitoring of the cold chain during production, storage, and above all, during transport. Only this uninterrupted monitoring provides a final guarantee that the quality and freshness of the products can be certified. testo Saveris automates not only the monitoring of the ambient and production temperatures during production and storage, but also of defined temperature limit values during transport. The installation of wireless probes in delivery vehicles makes the complicated wiring of the driver s cabin unnecessary. Alarms are issued whenever the limit values are exceeded. The measurement data from stationary and transport applications are saved centrally in a database and are accessible at any time. All measurement values are under control! testo Saveris conforms to the EN standard. 6

Monitoring in production, transport and storage in industry In industry, a number of quality data must be recorded and monitored in the production, storage and transport of products. testo Saveris automates the documentation of these data and alarms when limit values are exceeded. Products and processes are thus guaranteed at a high level of quality. testo Saveris is ideal for use in the monitoring and documentation of ambient and temperature data in production areas, storerooms, refrigerators and climate cabinets. At the same time, testo Saveris allows the uninterrupted recording of measurement parameters during the transport of sensitive products. The most varied applications, stationary as well as in transport, are optimally covered by testo Saveris radio probes and/or Ethernet probes. 7

testo Saveris system overview Data monitoring for uninterrupted checks testo Saveris TM wireless probe Probe versions with internal and external temperature and humidity sensors allow the adaptation to every application. The radio probes are available with or without a display as an option. Current measurement data, the battery status and the quality of the radio link are shown on the display. testo Saveris TM router The radio link can be improved or lengthened in poor structural conditions by using a router. Several routers can of course be used in the testo Saveris system. At the same time, the serial switching of up to 3 routers V 2.0 offers highest flexibility in the wireless range. testo Saveris TM converter Through the connection of a converter to an Ethernet jack, the signal of a radio probe can be converted into an Ethernet signal. This combines the flexible connection of the radio probe with the use of the existing Ethernet even over long transmission paths. testo Saveris TM router V 2.0 testo Saveris TM converter V 2.0 Ethernet testo Saveris TM wireless probe testo Saveris TM analog coupler (Ethernet) testo Saveris TM analog coupler (wireless) Humidity transmitters testo Saveris radio probe testo Saveris Ethernet probe testo Saveris TM analog coupler The two versions of the analog coupler (wireless / Ethernet) allow the inclusion of other measurement parameters into the testo Saveris monitoring system, by integrating all measurement transmitters with standarized current/voltage interfaces, e. g. 4 to 20 ma or 0 to 10 V. Humidity transmitters testo 6651/6681/6351/6381 The two versions of the analog coupler (wireless / Ethernet) allow the inclusion of other measurement parameters into the testo Saveris monitoring system, by integrating all measurement transmitters with standarized current/voltage interfaces, e. g. 4 to 20 ma or 0 to 10 V. 8

testo Saveris TM Base The base is the heart of testo Saveris and can save 40,000 readings per measurement channel independently of the PC. This corresponds to around one year of memory capacity at a measuring rate of 15 minutes. The system data and alarms are visible via the display of the Saveris base. testo Saveris TM software The testo Saveris software offers simple operation and an intuitive user interface. The Saveris software is available in three different versions: as the basic version SBE (Small Business Edition), the PROF (Professional) software version with diverse additional options, or as the CFR version. The CFR software fulfils the requirements of the FDA s 21 CFR Part 11 and is thus validatable. Ethernet USB or Ethernet testo Saveris TM Software testo Saveris TM Base Ethernet testo Saveris TM Control unit testo Saveris TM Ethernet probe Control unit testo Saveris TM Ethernet probe In addition to the radio probes, probes can be used that are directly connected to the Ethernet. The existing LAN infrastructure can be used through this. This allows the data transfer from the probe to the base, even over long distances. testo Saveris TM extender By connecting a Saveris Extender, the wireless signal of a transport probe is converted into an Ethernet signal. The data transfer from wireless probe to Extender takes place automatically when sufficient wireless connection is present. testo Saveris TM Cockpit Unit The Saveris Cockpit Unit displays all measurement values to the driver uninterruptedly during transport. If limit values are violated, the driver is immediately warned. Alternatively, the complete data recording can be printed out at the handover site of the goods using the Testo printer on the Cockpit Unit. 9

testo Saveris software 1 Installation made easy Connect Saveris base to mains. The probes can now be logged on at the base: They are switched on in series and automatically identified by the base. The Saveris base is connected to the PC via USB or Ethernet. The software is installed on the PC with help from the installation wizard. The system is ready for configuration: Probe name, limit values, measuring cycles and alarms can be adapted to the individual measuring tasks. 2 Clear and always up-to-date The measurement data can always be shown as a graphic or table. Various probes can be compiled into groups. Logical units by measurement task are thus formed. The measurement data view over days, weeks or months is freely definable. The integrated calendar offers practical assistance here. Daily report Cold storage house zone: Hourly mean values on Time C freezer 1 %RH cold room 1 C refrigerator C drinks C freezer 2 C freezer 3 C freezer 4 3 Automated documentation Form and time of the reporting are predefined once. The creation and saving of reports as a PDF file now takes place automatically in accordance with the set conditions. The files are therefore ready to be printed at any time. 11 Small Business Edition (SBE), Professional (PROF) and CFR version Now more flexible with Professional software 4 The PROF (Professional) software version offers interesting additional functions beyond the attractive standard functions of the basic version SBE, e.g.: Client-server concept: The measurement data can be monitored by various PCs integrated into the network. Photographs of machines or rooms can be saved as a picture. The respective measurement values are shown directly at the position of the probe in the room or at the machine in these. The link between the location and the measurement value is thus very easily visualized (fig. 4). A comprehensive alarm management offers the option of alarming more than two people at the same time or in succession. Depending on the day of the week or the time, it is possible to choose whether the alarm is given as an or an SMS. Tour planning with calendar management allows a clear presentation of planned and completed transports. 21 C 48 %RH 41 C 22 %RH 26 C 38 %RH Validatable CFR software 5 The CFR software fulfils the requirements of the FDA s 21 CFR Part 11 and is thus validatable.
