No lift service. Minneapolis VEAP: VOLUNTEERS ENLISTED TO ASSIST PEOPLE Phone: Trip purpose: x134 Bloomington, Richfield, Edina, and Minneapolis (South of 50th St and West of Cedar Ave); transport within metro area as far as downtown Minneapolis, the U of MN Hospital, and Methodist Hospital, and Park Nicolette Clinic in St. Louis Park. Medical, grocery, on-going personal errands (i.e., prescription, visit family in a care facility), social support services Monday - Friday 8:30am 3:30pm, 5 business days in advance. Sometimes a shorter notice can be accommodated, depending on driver availability. Low-income seniors 55+ and disabled individuals who have no other transportation resources available or minimal transportation resources. Donation, but one MUST apply to be able to participate in this program. A very simple application is taken over the phone and only takes about 10 minutes.
