ICCYBER ICMEDIA 2015 Joint Conference The International Conference on Cyber Crime Investigation - ICCyber is one of the most traditional and important events on computer forensics, public security and information technology held in Latin America. Likewise, the International Conference on Multimedia Forensics, Surveillance and Security ICMedia is a reference event in the field of multimedia forensics and electronic security. Both conferences propose a comprehensive agenda that includes technical lectures and scientific content structured by renowned experts from the Brazilian Federal Police, business and academia. As a result, they attract participants from government institutions, private sector and civil society, both national and international. This offers a great opportunity for vendors to present their innovative solutions, reaching key decision makers in these sectors. 3

5 In 2015, for the first time, the ICCyber-ICMedia Joint Conference will unite both conferences to offer their audiences the opportunity of experiencing a wider range of themes and discussions, some which are common to both. In addition to technical and scientific topics, the joint conference brings forward the discussion of relevant points such as justice through science, forensic evidence as key to human rights defense, transnationality of cybercrimes and global cooperation in public security. The Joint Conference is expected to bring together more than 700 participants among Computer Forensics Experts, members of the Public Ministry, public IT managers in federal, state and municipal levels, judiciary authorities, researchers and other professions associated with public security and forensic sciences. The 2015 ICCyber ICMedia Joint Conference is organized by the National Association of Federal Criminal Experts (APCF) and the Brazilian Academy of Forensic Sciences (ABCF). 5

Goals The main goal of the 2015 ICCyber ICMedia Joint Conference is to provide a meeting place for members of the national and international communities involved in computer and multimedia forensics. It seeks to offer the perfect place for the exchange of new ideas and solutions, to discuss relevant topics in the field, to share experiences among participants and to present state of the art technological solutions from the industry. Specific goals Promote scientific research in the fields of computer and multimedia forensics. Give participants the opportunity to contact experts, opinion leaders and decision makers from different sectors. Strengthen the relationship between business and academia. Provide visibility for products and technological solutions to a highly qualified audience. 9

11 4. Rationale Forensic Science is fundamental to Justice. The successful production of material evidence requires properly trained personnel and up-to-date technology. The need to keep up with the state of the art is one of the challenges in such activity. This conference is an effort to foster new developments in the field, to strengthen ties with academia and industry, while also emphasizing the importance of Forensic Science in the promotion of human rights and proper Justice. For that end, continuous interaction with academia and industry is paramount. Conferences, such as this one, are one of the best opportunities to create a favorable environment for the presentation of new findings and developments. It is also an outstanding opportunity to get to know practical, day-today experiences from forensic experts. 11

Target Audience The target audience is comprised of professional from groups such as: Forensic experts from Federal and State levels; Law enforcement personnel from national and international organizations; Privacy, right of information access and human rights advocates; Authorities from the judiciary system and members of the Public Ministry. Researchers and specialists from the scientific community; Professionals in the information security and electronic security fields; Members of the Congress associated with projects in the fields of public security, privacy and human rights; 12

16 7. Conference Program The Joint Conference is comprised of four tracks: Forensic Computer Science, Multimedia Forensics & Electronic Security, Academia and Public Security & Society. During keynote speakers presentations and the opening and closing speeches, the four tracks merge into one, unified session. Additionally, throughout the whole conference, the EXPO ICCYBER ICMEDIA 2015 will present solutions and products brought by the conference sponsors 16 16

Conference Tracks Forensic Computer Science Lectures and scientific papers about challenges faced in computer forensics and in the investigation of computer crimes that affect human rights, public and private institutions. Multimedia Forensics & Electronic Security Lectures and scientific papers about the state of the art, new technologies and solutions related to electronic security and multimedia forensics. AcademY Scientific works in the aforementioned areas, including presentation of original research, novel solutions and case studies. Public Security & Society Lectures and discussions about the legislation and public policies involving criminal forensics, the defense of human rights and as its role in the justice system. 17

18 9. Sponsorship opportunities In order to guarantee the success of the conference, there is the need to secure sponsorships and other partnerships. The 2015 Joint Conference has an estimated total cost of BR R$ 1,550,000 (approx. US$ 620,000). The conference organizers, APCF and ABCF, offer four classes of sponsorship programs to fit the sponsor s goals and budget availability: SPECIAL, DIAMOND, GOLD and SILVER. 18

19 9.1 Sponsorship program SPECIAL CLASS The SPECIAL sponsorship program is available to organizations that seek to participate as coorganizers, therefore receiving maximum visibility and additional benefits to those offered in the DIAMOND class. Values and benefits for this class are established in a case-by-case basis to meet the sponsors goals. 19

20 9.2 Sponsorship program DIAMOND CLASS The DIAMOND sponsorship program offers additional space and special placing in the EXPO ICCYBER ICMEDIA This allows participants to identify the sponsor s superior status in the conference, with special brand and product exposure. The DIAMOND program also allows the insertion of up to two technical presentations with themes pertaining to one of the conference tracks. Sponsors in this class will receive a booth with a predefined area and less visibility than the superior sponsorship classes.
