14 Our Experience with Farm to School Began buying produce direct from local farms five years ago. $5,000 in purchases in year one to nearly $90,000 in direct farm purchases last school year. We are currently purchasing from 10 local farms. Farm to School has helped our program grow. We have maintained a profitable, self-supporting program.

15 Our Approach to Serving Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

16 Fruit and Vegetable Bars We have had salad bars at all schools (K-12) for 15 years. Transitioned to Fruit and Veggie Bars in Offering ten or more choices of fresh fruits and vegetables to kids everyday. Self Service Kids help themselves to what they want.
