3 Greeley County Community Development Administrative Assistant Job Description Greeley County, Kansas Title of Position: Administrative Assistant/Board Secretary Reporting Relationship: The position is accountable to the Director and to the Board of Directors of the Greeley County Community Development Corporation. General Responsibilities: The position is responsible for managing the administrative operations of the Greeley County Community Development office. The position will be responsible for assisting with meeting and event coordination, book and record keeping, receptionist duties, compiling and maintaining information and listings, and other duties and special projects relevant to the Greeley County Community Development Office. Objective of Position: The position assists the Director and the Board in carrying out the missions, activities and policies of the Greeley County Community Development Corporation. Essential Functions: 1. The position will perform general administrative duties, including answering the telephone, taking messages, filing, managing and compiling information, researching information, and editing documents. 2. The position will be in charge of bookkeeping, bill-paying, and financial account maintenance for the corporation. The position is responsible for getting appropriate information to the corporation s accountant in a timely manner. 3. The position will procure and maintain necessary office supplies and equipment. 4. The position will, with assistance from the Director, maintain and update the Greeley County website on an as-needed basis. 5. The position will ensure that pertinent community information is sent to area, regional, and state listing services and media outlets. 6. With the help of the Director, the position will assist in updating and maintaining an area housing list. 7. The position will attend and keep minutes at all Greeley County Community Development board meetings. 8. The position will, with assistance from the director, assume meeting and event planning responsibilities, coordinating refreshments, invitations, speakers, schedules, and other associated items. 9. The position will manage contributions to the organizations and the community s action teams, responding with thank you notes and notification to families in a timely manner. 10. The position will work closely with the community s action teams and will maintain a current volunteer list. 11. The position will aid and assist the director and the board on an as needed basis and will assist with other duties as assigned. Educational and Experience Requirements: 1. Bachelor s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred. 2. Preference given to a background in community development or related field. Required Knowledge and Skills 1. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 2. Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic attitude. 3. Strong written, oral communication and computer skills. 4.
