1 Prakash Panjwani President & Chief Executive Officer Prakash Panjwani has extensive experience overseeing global product management, marketing, engineering, sales, operations, and business development teams. He is a seasoned IT security executive and has served as an executive leader at SafeNet for over a decade. Since joining the company in 2002, Prakash has been instrumental in driving major product strategy, infrastructure, and operational shifts throughout the organization. Prakash led the strategic acquisition of 12 companies resulting in SafeNet being the cybersecurity powerhouse that it is today Rainbow Technologies marked SafeNet s entry into the HSM, authentication, and software protection markets; Ingrian Networks broadened SafeNet s data encryption and encryption key management portfolio; Aladdin Knowledge Systems doubled the size of SafeNet s software monetization business; and most recently, Cryptocard, which brought the company s award-winning authentication business into the cloud. Most recently, Prakash served as the SVP and General Manager of SafeNet s Data Protection business unit where he has been able to refocus the team on three rapidly growing markets crypto management, data encryption, and authentication and then successfully executing against a highly aggressive product development and go-to-market plan to support it. Prior to that position, Prakash served as the SVP and General Manager of the company s Software Monetization group where he successfully spearheaded the division s transformation from a copyright protection offering into a robust software monetization platform capable of software provisioning, license enforcement, usage tracking, and entitlement management for on-premise and cloud software applications. Prakash has held several additional executive positions at SafeNet, including Vice President of Worldwide Embedded Sales and Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Panjwani has more than 20 years of experience in the software, security, and telecom industries. Prior to joining SafeNet, Mr. Panjwani spent more than four years at Certicom Corporation in various management positions, including Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Prior to this, he served at Motorola Inc. and Telcordia (formerly Bellcore). Mr. Panjwani holds a Masters degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
2 Jon McCabe Chief Financial Officer Jon McCabe is SafeNet s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the company s global finance functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, controllership, treasury, and tax. Jon joined SafeNet in 2010, as Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), where he was responsible for the company s strategic and operating financial plans & performance, pricing strategy & administration, operational performance assessment and decision support across all aspects of the business. Prior to joining SafeNet, Jon performed similar FP&A functions at McAfee, Inc and was responsible for standardizing accounting processes and related systems re-engineering. Prior to McAfee, Jon was the Business Operations Director with Genuity, Inc., responsible for the operating plan, performance measurement and vendor management for Genuity s technical support, network deployment, field operations, billing and network monitoring organizations. Prior to Genuity, Jon served in various accounting & planning roles of increasing responsibility with Verizon/GTE. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Management Accountant.
3 Philip Saunders Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer As SafeNet s Chief Revenue Officer, Philip Saunders has overriding responsibility for SafeNet s core functions of worldwide sales, business development, marketing, product management, customer service, operations & fulfillment. Saunders leads the company s global sales organization and is responsible for the strategy and execution of field, channel and technical sales teams, as well as sales operations and administration. He is also responsible for developing the strategy for generating profitable revenue over the long term; building the bridge from corporate strategy to field execution, ensuring that the entire organization has the direction, information, resources and support to successfully execute in the field. Mr. Saunders began his SafeNet career in 1997 as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, cultivating strategic partnerships and transforming the Company s marketing initiatives. In 2000, he took a position as Senior Vice President of Business Development at OpenReach (now known as Corente). Mr. Saunders returned to SafeNet in 2002 and has held several highly successful positions in sales and marketing, including Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Customer Service, Vice President, Worldwide Enterprise Sales, Vice President and General Manager of the Borderless Security Business Unit and Director of Channel Development. Prior to joining SafeNet in 1997, Mr. Saunders was Director of Sales at Nuera Communications and previously spent several years at Motorola in a variety of sales roles. Mr. Saunders has received numerous leadership awards for his outstanding achievements including awards from the American Marketing Association (AMA). Mr. Saunders holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the State University of New York at Albany and a Masters in Business Administration from Seton Hall University s W. Paul Stillman School of Business.
4 Tsion Gonen Chief Strategy Officer Tsion Gonen serves as SafeNet s Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer. Mr. Gonen is responsible for developing SafeNet s global business and product strategies. He leads the development of new business strategies that identify, capture and capitalize on emerging market key trends within the information security market. Mr. Gonen leads the company s worldwide marketing efforts, including strategic positioning, and brand management, ensuring that the company s vision and long-term strategy is effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders. Prior to assuming his role as Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, Mr. Gonen was responsible for overseeing the company s Data Protection product portfolio strategy and execution. Mr. Gonen joined SafeNet in April 2009 from Aladdin Knowledge Systems, where he led Aladdin s global sales and marketing efforts, focusing on driving the company s go-to-market strategy and sales execution. Prior to that role, Mr. Gonen led Aladdin s Content Security business unit, directing its growth strategy in the worldwide enterprise market. Before joining Aladdin, Mr. Gonen served as the Managing Director of the Middle East distributor of Sony Ericsson where he as was instrumental in significantly increasing revenues and expanding the company s client base. Prior to joining Sony Ericsson, he served as Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Emblaze Mobile. Mr. Gonen holds a bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
5 Diane Smith Corporate Vice President, Human Resources Diane Smith serves as SafeNet s Corporate Vice President, Human Resources. In this role, Ms. Smith sets the worldwide strategy for the Company s human resources function worldwide. Her responsibilities include staffing, recruitment and retention, employee compensation and benefits, incentive programs, training and development, HRIS, policy development, and employee relations. Ms. Smith joined SafeNet in July 2004 as Manager of Human Resources Programs, and was promoted to Corporate Director, Human Resources in August 2005 and Vice President, Human Resources in She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources leadership assisting companies with their human capital needs pertaining to integrations related to mergers and acquisitions, management and organizational development, health and welfare plans, talent management, incentive programs and human resources policies and procedures. Prior to joining SafeNet, Ms. Smith held various leadership roles in Human Resources with companies such as CareFirst, Inc., EA Engineering, Science & Technology, and PaineWebber Mortgage Finance. Ms. Smith earned a Bachelor s degree from the University of Baltimore and holds a PHR, active Human Resources Certification.
6 Jan Manning Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer Jan Manning has served as Vice President of Corporate Information Services (CIS) since November, Ms. Manning is responsible for all global policies and activities within the Company s CIS Department. Capitalizing on new technologies and a disciplined approach, her team has been able to maximize financial efficiencies in the delivery of solutions and support to the organization. Appointed to Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) in February, 2009, Ms. Manning is responsible for the information technology needs of both internal and external customers, and participates in the development and execution of the Company s strategic plan through the further deployment of focused information systems and a secure infrastructure. Ms. Manning has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and information technology leadership positions with companies that have included Peak Technologies, Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company, and Rite Aid Corporation. She earned a Bachelor s of Business Administration, with a minor in Information Systems, from the University of Maryland, University College, Adelphi, Maryland.
7 Jack Waters Corporate Vice President, Client Services Jack Waters has been with SafeNet for more than 9 years and overseas the company s Client Services and SAS Cloud Service Operations organizations where he is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, retention, and SAS service operations excellence. He has extensive customer-focused experience that spans multiple disciplines including client services, cloud services operations, research and development, and professional services. Before assuming his current role, Jack served as Vice President of Engineering for SafeNet s Data Protection product portfolios. He joined the company in 2005 as Director of Engineering supporting the company s encryption products for commercial and government agencies. Prior to joining SafeNet, Jack was the Director of Software Development at Conexant where he supported the development of software and reference designs for the company s DSL and home networking products. He previously held several product management, product development, and engineering roles at Conexant. He began his career as a software programmer for IBM. Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
8 Steve Walsh Corporate Vice President, Quality and Business Process Improvement Steve Walsh serves as SafeNet s Corporate Vice President of Quality Assurance and Business Process Improvement. In his role, Mr. Walsh is responsible for the overall quality of SafeNet s core processes and products, as well as ensuring and enhancing SafeNet s customer experience worldwide. Mr. Walsh is a highly experienced executive with a specific focus in business process improvement, quality assurance, and customer service. Prior to joining SafeNet in 2010, Mr. Walsh held a series of executive management positions at Ciena Corporation, including Vice President of Quality and Business Processes Improvement and Vice President of Global Network Services for the Americas. During his tenure at Ciena from , Mr. Walsh was responsible for the successful development and implementation of quality management systems, organizational integration and design and implementation of customer service management processes. Prior to joining Ciena, Mr. Walsh served as a Senior Engineer, Industrial Engineering and Customer Support at United Parcel Service from Mr. Walsh holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
9 Diane Pewitt Corporate Vice President, Global Operations Diane Pewitt serves as the Corporate Vice President of Global Operations. In this role, Ms. Pewitt is responsible for overseeing the Company s customer service, manufacturing, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, order fulfillment, trade compliance and global facilities. Ms. Pewitt has more than 20 years of experience in vertical manufacturing, systems integration and full out-sourcing model for both corporations and service providers within the telecommunications and networking technology industries. Prior to joining SafeNet, Ms. Pewitt served as Asurion s Vice President of North American Operations, where she was responsible for leading the company s remanufacturing strategy. She also held senior operational roles at Ciena Corporation, Extreme Networks, VINA Networks, Lucent Technologies and Octel Communications.
10 Sean Price Corporate Vice President, Business Development Sean Price is SafeNet s Corporate Vice President, Business Development, where he is responsible for working closely with the Company s sales and marketing leadership on business development, corporate development, channel partner relationships, and new vertical market opportunities. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Price was SafeNet s Vice President of Worldwide Channels, where he was responsible for driving the development of new programs and growth opportunities for SafeNet s channel partners. As a result of his successful efforts, Mr. Price was recognized by CRN magazine as a Top Channel Chief in Mr. Price served as Vice President, Worldwide Sales at Fidelis Security Systems where he was responsible for the development and execution of the company s global sales strategy, including the direct, indirect and strategic sales channels for the worldwide commercial and U. S. Federal markets. Prior to Fidelis, Mr. Price served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Application Security Incorporated and as SafeNet s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Mr. Price has also held executive sales positions at Nuera Communications Inc. and Network Equipment Technologies.
11 Shlomo Weiss General Manager, Software Monetization Shlomo Weiss is the General Manager of the Software Monetization division at SafeNet. In this role, Shlomo oversees product development, services, strategic planning, sales and go to market activities for SafeNet s industryleading software monetization platforms. Prior to his current role Shlomo was VP of Business Development for the Software Monetization division at SafeNet, responsible for global strategic partnerships and for driving new business initiatives. In this function, Shlomo played a key role in launching new business initiatives, managing ecosystem partnerships, and drove the global M&A opportunity pipeline across the company s business lines. Shlomo joined SafeNet via the acquisition of Aladdin Knowledge Systems in 2009, where he headed strategic business for Aladdin s Software DRM unit. Prior to Aladdin, Shlomo held senior leadership positions in business development, marketing, and sales at Emblaze Mobile, Comverse s Wydeband unit, and Multiple Zones. Shlomo studied Economics and Business Administration at Bar-Ilan University.
