Before Your Departure Individual Overseas Travel Management Service Our Travel Desk can make reservations on your behalf at famous hotels in your destinations or air tickets including regular discount tickets to locations throughout the world. Also ask our Travel Desk for information on or booking at restaurants, optional tours, shows, sporting events and much more. Overseas Package Tour Discount Service Get a 3% to 5% off the basic prices of overseas package tours from our affiliated travel agencies. *Please make reservations at least 10 days before departure. Note that if there are less than 10 days until departure, depending on the situation it may not be possible to accommodate your requests. *The discount service can only be used through the Citi Cards Travel Desk. Find a plan that fits your tastes, whether it is a stay at a charming inn, a room with a beautiful night view, or in a suite room. If there is a vacancy, a reservation on the same day is possible. *If there are vacancies available, you can even make a reservation on the day you plan to stay. 6 Airport Taxi Service The Citi Cards Travel Desk (Overseas) provides a preferential taxi service to people reserving an overseas travel package or overseas flight ticket departing from Japan, provided they meet the minimum purchase price below. Customer with a purchase price of at least 500,000 yen (*1) is eligible for a free (*2) or partially paid (*3) one-way taxi ride. The trip shall be from a location in the eligible areas (*3) to an eligible airport. 8 Rewards Programs Citi Rewards Program Earn Citi Rewards Point for every 100 yen you spend on your credit card. Use your points to get cash back, useful coupons, specially selected rewards or to pay for annual membership fees. You can exchange points for rewards on the Citi Rewards Program website. Citi Rewards Points never expire, so take your time and save up your points. Earn Citi Rewards Point for every 100 yen you spend shopping, etc. during the month (or for every US dollar in the case of the Citibank Dollar Card). *The following items are not eligible for points: annual membership fees, revolving payments, installment payment fees, or finance-related items such as cash advance, card loan, or installment loan. *Points earned by family member will be applied to the principal member s balance. *The Citi Rewards Program does not apply to the Citi Cash Back Card, Delta Skymiles Citi / Citibank Platinum VISA Card, Delta SkyMiles Citi / Citibank Gold Visa Card. Note that the circumstances of some service establishments may result in the date shown on the card usage slip being different to that on which you actually used the card. Different point multipliers apply for holidays depending on the day of the week on which they fall. Note that depending on the service establishment, purchases made in Japan can sometimes be treated as overseas purchases. Please note that in this case, the purchase will not be eligible for bonus points. These bonus points apply to card spending for which the card usage slip has arrived by November 17th, 2015 and that will be deducted from your account by December Note that bonus points do not apply to payments in two installments, payment in installments, one lump-sum payment at bonus time, or to spending deducted in January 2016 or later. Your annual spending total does not include spending from other cards, or prior to switching to your current card type. Your annual spending total is the total amount spent during the calculation period, and only includes purchases for which the card usage slip is received by us during the calculation period. Note that, depending on when the card usage slip arrives, it is possible that a purchase may not be included in the year s total, even though the actual card usage date was within the calculation period. Calculation and awarding of Bonus Rewards Program points is separate from normal points. If you have Bonus Rewards Program points, you can confirm their points on the monthly billing statement delivered in the month after the month in which your annual fees are deducted. This program may be discontinued or changed at any time without advance notice to members. Note that no points will be awarded after the program is discontinued in this case. If you have stored your card information on a website, you should periodically check to make sure that the stored expiration date is the current one. *Pay attention the month and year of the expiration date. *If you do not enter the expiration date or you enter an incorrect date, the credit card company may not approve your purchase. In some cases, the security code will also be required. When using your card to make purchases online or at E-commerce Merchants, you may be required to supply a security code in addition to your card number and expiration date. What is a security code? The security code is printed on the signature panel on the back of your card. The last three digits of the number printed in the signature panel is your security code. *If your card number or expiration date changes when updating or reissuing your card, your security code will also change. *Overseas merchants may refer to the security code as the CVC, CVV, CVV2, or card verification number. *Merchants that require a security code will send the code to the credit card company when requesting a purchase authorization. If you do not enter the security code or enter an incorrect code, the credit card company may not approve your purchase. Overseas Merchants While the basic concept is the same as when using your credit card in Japan, please note that in some cases the amount charged may be different from the amount on your receipt, such as if you consume items from the refrigerator in your hotel room or if you fail to fill up the gas tank when returning a rental car. *Note that gambling and the purchase of lottery tickets overseas is prohibited by law, and people doing so may be punished. *At merchants in some EC and Asian countries where IC card terminals are common, you may be asked for a PIN to authenticate an IC card purchase. However, the cards issued by Citi Cards Japan use magnetic stripes rather than IC chips, so it is not necessary to enter a PIN. Also note that a terminal that is compatible with magnetic cards is required to make a purchase with a Citi Cards Japan credit card. 14

15 Additional fees (surcharges) In some countries, merchants are allowed to add an additional fee (a surcharge) to people paying by credit card. When making a purchase in one of these countries, please check whether there are any surcharges before signing. Note that after you have signed, we are unable to refund any surcharges. Charges in Japanese yen at overseas merchants In some cases when shopping overseas, an amount in Japanese yen calculated using the merchant s own rate will be included on your receipt in addition to the amount in the local currency. When this occurs, if you do not tell the merchants that you do not want to pay in yen, the charge data will be sent from the merchants to the Visa/MasterCard payment center in yen, and currency conversion will not occur at the payment center. INFORMATION Authorization From Merchants When using your card at a merchants, depending on the purchase amount and the conditions when using your card (such if you have exceeded your credit Line), the merchants may request an authorization from the credit card company, who will then tell the merchants whether the card can be used or not. Yen Conversion for Overseas Spending Overseas credit card spending does not use the conversion rate from the day that the card was used. Instead, when the data arrives from the affiliated international organization to the payment center, it will be converted to yen using the rate specified by the affiliated international organization, plus a processing fee of 2.0% to 2.5% (overseas cash advance do not include a processing fee). *Citi Cash Back Card: 2.5%*Other cards: 2.0% *When using the Citibank Dollar Card to make purchases in currencies other than the US dollar, the purchase amount will be converted to the US dollar with an added processing fee of 1.63%. Closing Date and Date Closing date This is the deadline for sales data from merchants to arrive at Citi Cards Japan. *The closing date is the 17th of each month (or the closest preceding business day if the 17th falls on a weekend or holiday). date The payment date is the date by which a Member must pay their outstanding balance of use. If the closing date falls on the 17th of the month, the payment date will be the 10th of the following month (depending on the financial institution, this may be the 8th). If the payment date is not a business day for financial institutions, the next business day will become the payment date. The closing date and payment date cannot be specified or changed by a Member. *You can check your closing date and payment date on the Citi Card carrier sent with your card or on your monthly billing statement. *Please note that depending on your financial institution, another name may be used on your monthly billing statement, such as Mitsui Sumitomo Card or Cedyna. *If your monthly billing statement cannot be paid due to insufficient funds in your payment account, you may be temporarily unable to use your card. *Please note that charges may be delayed due to factors related to merchants processing of card usage slips. *If your payment account is a securities account, the closing date will be the 17th of each month. Total Credit Line Each member has a credit Line, which includes spending from any family member. Your total unpaid card spending must be within your credit Line. If you have multiple Citi Cards credit cards, your card usage for all of them will be added together (with some exceptions, such as the Citibank Commercial Card). In addition, all card usage for the payment in two installments, One lump-sum payment at bonus time, revolving payment (including Switch to Revolving ), and payment in installments payment methods must be within your revolving shopping credit line. Method of One lump-sum payment This is the normal payment method, and will be used if you do not specify another method when using your card at a merchants. in two installments* The purchase amount will be divided in two, and you will pay one half the month after the closing date and the other half the month after that. One lump-sum payment at bonus time* With this method, you pay the entire amount at your bonus time. Summer Winter *There is no fee. *May not be usable at all merchants. The usable time period and amount of money varies from store to store, so please ask when making a purchase. *This cannot be used overseas. *Using the payment in two installments and one lump-sum payment at bonus time payment methods requires a revolving shopping credit Line and any spending must be within this Line. *This service is not available for Citibank Dollar Card Members. Revolving Pay in August for purchases made from December 18 to June 17 Pay in January for purchases from July 18 to November 17 With revolving payment, regardless of the amount or number of purchases, your monthly payment will be about the same. Fees are charged based on your balance of revolving payment. Spending must be within your revolving shopping credit line. (1) Who can use it Principal member and family member *Revolving payment is not available for Citibank Dollar Card Members. 16 (3) Plans ( Date) The closing date is the 17th of each month (or if this is a weekend or holiday, the first preceding business day). The payment date is the 10th of the following month (depending on the financial institution, this may be the 8th, if this is a weekend or holiday, the first preceding business day). By this date, the amount of principal payable in each month and fee accured must be paid by direct debit, along with your normal card spending. *You can also make payments at any time separately from your monthly payment on the 10th of each month. Even if the card or card information is used against the Terms and Conditions, a Member will be responsible for paying for any damages caused.
