1 CURRENT STATUS OF HYDROLOGICAL DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN SLOVENIA Country report Dr. Mira Kobold Slovenian Environment Agency
2 REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA SURFACE WATERS NETWORK 186 operating measuring stations on the rivers, lakes and the sea - currently 63 automatic on-line stations - modernization of measuring networks in the framework of the BOBER project Archival data are available for over 700 surface water stations in the ARSO database.
3 INFORMATION SYSTEM OF MEASURING NETWORKS (ISMM) built in 2006, set in Oracle database complete information about measuring sites, instruments and the events in the measuring network measured data related with the instruments and the events on each measuring site Environmental Monitoring Network 1040 measuring sites: hydrology, meteorology, seismology, water quality, air quality, radioactivity app instruments 330 types, more than 100 manufacturers 70 quantities, more than 200 parameters ISO 9001:2000 certification since 2004 measured data connected with calibration flag Internal Quality assurance guide of measuring network (QA Guide, 2003) MEASURING SITES MEASURING EQUIPMENT DOCUMENTATION ISMM OPERATIONAL EVENTS REPORTS STATISTICS
4 Optimisation of the working processes Data control is provided with three-level system: KOLOMON since 2009 a tool for quality control of the real-time station data - 1st level control is automatic and comprises basic control of meaningfulness of data and operation of the device - 2nd level control includes manual control of data in the program KOLOMON - 3rd level control is done by HIDROLOG system
5 Optimisation of the working processes HIDROLOG since 2009 hydrological information system (subsystems: surface waters, ground waters, springs, sea) HIDROLOG is system for: - control, harmonization and correction of data, - conversion of hourly values to daily values, H/Q conversion - analytical calculations for periodical statistics, rating curves - tabelar, graphical demonstration of data
