2 Flexibility at igrad Many pathways to success 4 igrad Locations Kent Main, Kent downtown, Auburn, Enumclaw Classes offered throughout the day to accommodate individuals needs KSD: 8:30 am 8:30 pm GRC: 7:00 am 9:00 pm Students are able to take classes year round Many different modes of instruction: online / face-to-face / hybrid Online classes allow students to work 24/7 Dual enrollment allows students to take high school and college level classes at the same time Kent School District Diploma Minimum attendance expectation: 3-hours in class once a week 12-hours weekly of work outside of class BENEFITS The amount of mandatory face- toface time in the classroom is limited Students are able to complete coursework at their own pace and if motivated, can accomplish 0.5 credit or more per month Courses are taught through online programs with at least one teacher in the room for support Edgenuity & Apex Software 2

3 Kent School Pre - GED For students whose Reading Skills are below 6 th grade level Face to Face instruction (small group) BENEFITS Face to Face instruction Very small class size Targeted Reading skills and strategies Washington State Diploma Associate s Degree/Technical Certificate Attendance expectation: Students are expected to attend the classes they sign up for everyday which can be from 1 5 hours on a given day Courses are taught mostly face to face with some online and hybrid options available BENEFITS Students are able to take college classes and programs for free. igrad pays most fees & loans books to students Student can earn high school and college credit at the same time Student are in an adult learning environment where they have a lot of choice over the topics they study Students are full GRC students and have access to all GRC programs and benefits and are expected to abide by the college rules and policies 3

4 GED Prep Program Students take prep classes so they can earn a GED Attendance expectation: Three hours in class daily four times a week. Courses are taught through face to face instruction by a Green River faculty member. BENEFITS Students work independently, at their own pace as they prepare for the exams. Classes are available throughout the day and there minimal out of class time commitment for students. Students receive a lot of one-on-one support from faculty Students completing their GED who are still eligible for the program have access to take classes for free at Green River College.
