The paper copy of the Where and When meeting list is sometimes a newcomers first introduction to AA. We also have the internet to help us find meetings, and this is absolutely the most current way to locate meetings. There are many outdated Where and When still floating around Pinellas county and we ask that members verify that the meeting is still active by checking the website for accuracy. April A sober Rollie H. catches the only opening day no-hitter in baseball history since April The first A.A. pamphlet, "AA", was published. Scholarship Donations Needed! The 12th Annual Women in Serenity Retreat is asking for monetary donations to help women who have a desire to attend, but cannot afford it. Retreat dates are from May at Daysprings, in Ellenton. Jim Chaired John read the Preamble Greg read How It Works Dustin Speaker: "I wouldn't have anything that meant anything in my life if it was not for AA. It has been a process and it means everything in my life." Fred Speaker: "There just isn't any other choice but to stay sober today. Having a home group and the fellowship is very important. It has been a process and most importantly it has kept me sober today. Margie handed out the chips. March 14th, 2015 Stepsisters Group of St Pete Meets every Tuesday at 10am Meeting location is in the Dolphin Village Shopping Center (Alano Club) St. Pete Beach Carol Chaired Julie read the Preamble Mary read How it Works Julie Speaker: "I can stay sober no matter where I go around the world. I also found out I have a soul." Laura Speaker: "Every day I wake up I wake up with gratitude with my Higher Power. I stay sober to help other alcoholics. That is what I do every day if possible. I found that this has to be a part of the process." Mary Dawn: "I thought everyone had a problem but me when I first came to Alcoholics Anonymous. It was only through misery and pain that taught me what I am about. This very thing through that process has brought me close to my Higher Power." Carol Speaker: "It really doesn't matter to the disease where alcohol doesn't take you or take you for that matter. It certainly and most definitely took my soul down and away. If you question the fact that you have a problem with alcohol then you definitely belong here." Carol also did the chips. March 21, 2015 St. Pete Group Meets 5 days a week, 3 times a day at11am, 6pm and 8pm. Saturdays 4 times a day, with an additional meeting at 10 pm. Sundays 11am and 8pm. Meeting location is 2250 Central Ave. St Pete. Eva Chaired, Steve read Preamble, Meghan read How it Works Sarah Speaker: "Life was always about a party. I came to AA not thinking she was not that bad. I still had a car and a job. I found that the St Pete group really attracted and I identified there and realized I needed help." Gordon Speaker: "Had 4 Dui instances. After being in and out of AA. Ended of in the Virgin Islands. Lived in St Thomas for 7 years. Went to AA there. Missed the fellowship and AA in St Pete. AA has changed my life for the better. Really like the AA at the St Pete Group." Eva did the chips. March 28, 2015 Sunday Night Live Meets Sunday Evenings at 8 Pm Speaker Mtg. Meeting location is Kirk of Dunedin 2686 Bay Shore (Alt 19) Jim Chaired Drew read the Preamble Lucy read How it Works Paul Speaker: "Continued to drink despite the consequences. Came to AA to get out of a jam. By listening to your stories and showing up to AA my thinking started to change. I had been sober in the 90 s. I started to listen to the experience, strength and hope I have stayed here. I am grateful to be where I am today. Lucy Speaker: I think I was an alcoholic before I ever picked up a drink. I suffered from broken brain syndrome. I had a black hole in my soul. God spoke to me in a jail cell after my third arrest. Someone told me all the suggestions are free and I only pay for the ones I don't take. You have to become willing to change. Most important is God is what does it for me. God first is my rule. Meditation books work for me. I always get through what I need just for today." Rob Speaker: " I went to treatment and did not surrender. I kept relapsing. Today life is a millions times better that I ever found in alcohol and drugs. AA teaches us so much. You got to want to change. You got to keep coming to AA." Tony Speaker: "I spent my whole life fighting against what I knew to be the truth. Didn't realize the progression of disease. I should of been dead a lot of times. God has other plans for me. AA is the answer. I feel like I am finally home. I am convinced that AA is the right place for me." Drew Speaker: "Got into a lot of jams. Thought I would never quit drinking. I was spiritually, physically and mentally bankrupt. I knew the solution was in AA. My free mind is free now and I am not struggling anymore." Paul did the chips. Robert T., Unity Reporter 3

We think that each group should soon achieve this ideal; that any public solicitation of funds using the name of Alcoholics Anonymous is highly dangerous, whether by groups, clubs, hospitals, or other outside agencies; that acceptance of large gifts from any source, or of contributions carrying any obligation whatever, is unwise. Then, too, we view with much concern those A.A. treasuries which continue, beyond prudent reserves, to accumulate funds for no stated A.A. purpose. Experience has often warned us that nothing can so surely destroy our spiritual heritage as futile disputes over property, money, and authority. -Tradition Seven (long form) Reprinted from P-3, Where Money and Spirituality Meet, pg. 3 with permission of A.A World Services, Inc..
