As we prepare for worship, we encourage everyone to be as quiet as possible in the Sanctuary that we may begin to focus on the presence, inspiration, and encouragement of God in our midst. This morning your greeters are Anne and Lorne Ball, Announcements will be reviewed by Dirk Van Ek and the Scripture Lessons will be read by Betty DeBruin. In the Act of Remembrance our trumpeter is Peter Law, and the Veteran offering the Words of Remembrance is Bill Clow. To help you : Large Print editions of the Bulletin, the Book of Praise, Living Faith and the Bible are available in the Vestibule. Our Sanctuary has a Hearing Loop, use the T switch on your hearing aid. Our facility is a Fragrance Free building as strong scents can affect others. For those with mobility issues we have an automatic door opener on the front door of the building. Recordings of the entire service are now available on CD, by request. Please contact the Church Office. We offer a sponsored Taxi service for those who need a ride to Worship, and events. Details are available at the Message Centre, or speak with Catherine Held. Following worship, please join us in the Mahood Hall for coffee, tea and fellowship. Volunteers are always needed to host this event and there is a blue sign-up sheet in the Mahood Hall. The Session has arranged important Elder led Discussion Groups to prepare a full profile for calling a minister. They would like the congregation to be involved through these groups. Anyone who has not yet participated is encouraged to sign up for the remaining meeting this Tuesday November 10 th at 10 am in the Mahood Hall. The office will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 th Remembrance Day, but will reopen on Thursday. Two weeks from today, on Sunday November 22 nd, immediately following Worship there will be a Congregational Meeting to consider and adopt the Budget for Please plan to stay for this important meeting. Lealofi & Harvey Ash: Lealofi is in good spirits as she continues to make progress at the Royal Jubilee in Victoria. Gayle & Bob Basaraba: Gayle is in hospital in Nanaimo. Roy and Jeanne Heard: Roy is recovering at home following surgery. Beth & Bill Macmillan: Beth is awaiting the results of further tests. Jack Smith: Jack is now recovering at home. Coby & Joe Vermeulen: Coby is at home recovering from complications following surgery. No visitors please. Dorothy Ritchie has died at the age of 103. A Service of Committal will be held in the Qualicum Beach Cemetery on Thursday, November 12 th at 1:30 pm. Bruce and Joyce Walton would like to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns for their daughter Linda who was recently in the hospital in Duncan. Linda is now in care and doing much better.
