1 Payment Card Industry Security Standards Over the past years, a series of new rules and regulations regarding consumer safety and identify theft have been enacted by both the government and the PCI Security Council. The standards from PCI, the Data Security Standards (DSS), establish protocols for protection of cardholder data, while the government has passed the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA) mandating how card numbers and expiration dates must appear on receipts. Bottom line you must be compliant. It s the law. If you aren t compliant, you are leaving yourself open to fines, lawsuits and potentially closure. More information on PCI is available at Why should I care about PCI? The Credit Card brands offer strong incentives for acquirers to ensure their merchants and service providers achieve and maintain PCI compliance. In the event a breach of cardholder information occurs, any non PCI compliant organization will suffer extremely damaging direct penalties. According to the PCI guidelines, any merchant that experiences a data breach is now required to have a mandatory forensics audit at their cost. In addition, if the audit reveals that the merchant was negligent by not complying with PCI guidelines, fines can range up to $10,000 / month until compliance is proven. In addition, more than 42 states have instituted new notification laws requiring anyone who experiences a data breach to notify all customers that a breach has occurred. McAfee PCI Compliance Service is a simplified, easy to use system optimized for smaller merchants (Level 2 4) that need to successfully complete PCI requirements. It includes: Automated state of the art scanning Online self assessment questionnaire McAfee Technical Assist (extensive technical support) PCI Wizard to help manage compliance activities Reporting options to deliver compliance reports directly to IP Pay

2 Does this service protect me from breaches? No it does not. While this service can ensure your terminals, payment applications and/or on line shopping carts are compliant and meet all the requirements, we cannot verify that all your individual business practices are compliant or that you have vulnerabilities that this process would not address. This service, however, will go a long way towards making your account as safe as possible and give you insight and information on other remediation steps you should be taking to protect credit card data in your possession. What if I m already working with a compliance company? We are glad to hear that you have already taken a proactive role in ensuring your compliance. 3 Introduction: Customer is a Level 2 4 Merchant as defined by the PCI DSS and is seeking to validate its compliance. McAfee is authorized by the Payment Card Industry to perform the following Compliance Validation Services (CVS) to assess and validate compliance and help you maintain compliance throughout the term of this agreement. Compliance Validation Services (CVS): To ensure comprehensive and efficient service, Customer must fulfill their obligations within each item below before progressing to subsequent phases. The Compliance Validation Services does not include remediation services. If Customer wishes to receive any remediation services, Customer must specifically select those services. 1. Vulnerability Scanning Service a. Online Questionnaire: PCI request that all merchants and service providers complete the PCI selfassessment questionnaire. Our system provides an easy to use portal that satisfies the requirements of all the card associations with self help and a continuously updated FAQ database. b. Scanning: The automated vulnerability scanning engine is a proprietary Intelligent scanning solution that has been tested and determined to be PCI compliant. The scanning solution tests for more than 3,000 unique vulnerabilities and is extremely accurate in eliminating false positives. You are entitled to receive monthly scans during the term of this Agreement. c. Reporting: Through a secure web interface, we provide easy access to concise, auto generated reports with a high level summary for executives and managers. The reports will also provide detailed results and remediation action for technicians. Remediation instructions include CVE linked vulnerability checks and best practices. d. Security: Our infrastructure is monitored on a 24x7 basis to ensure protection of your data. All Customer data is delivered via secure channels. 2. Support Supplied through each phase of the project, we provide comprehensive online support through our online portal that includes self help and a continuously updated FAQ database. In addition, and phone support are available during standard business hours to answer any questions regarding PCI compliance or vulnerability scanning results. Deliverable Description Completion Date Vulnerability Scan Report Statement of Compliance Up to one vulnerability scan per quarter for up to 6 devices during the term will be conducted with a report delivered via the online portal. The report will incorporate both questionnaire and scan results. Upon achieving PCI Compliance, Customer will be provided with a Statement of Compliance letter. Upon completion of questionnaire and vulnerability scan Upon achieving compliance

4 PCI DSS Requirement 11.2 Run internal and external network vulnerability scans at least quarterly and after any significant change in the network (such as new system component installations, changes in network topology, firewall rule modifications, product upgrades). NOTE: Quarterly external vulnerability scans must be performed by a scan vendor qualified by the payment card industry. Scans conducted after network changes may be performed by the company s internal staff PCI DSS scanning security requirements apply to system components that touch payment card data, defined as: Any network component, server, or application that is included in or connected to the cardholder data environment Cardholder data environment is that part of the network that possesses cardholder data or sensitive authentication data Network segmentation, which isolates systems that store, process or transmit cardholder data from those that do not, may reduce the scope of the cardholder data environment Network components include but are not limited to firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points, network appliances and other security appliances Server types include but are not limited to web, database, authentication, mail, proxy, network time protocol, domain name server Applications include all purchased and custom applications, including internal and external (Internet) applications What devices need to be scanned? All active Internet facing domain names and IP addresses involved in, or connected to networks involved in collecting, transmitting, processing or storing payment card information must be scanned. If the device running the payment application is behind some sort of network filter then scan all filtering devices such as firewalls or external routers (if used to filter traffic). If using a firewall or router to establish a DMZ, these devices must be scanned for vulnerabilities. Scan all Web servers that are used to host shopping carts or for online payment purposes. Because these servers are fully accessible from the public Internet, scanning for vulnerabilities is critical. Scan application servers if present and applicable. Application servers are defined as services that act as the interface or middle man between the Web server and the back end databases and legacy systems. For example, when cardholders share account numbers with merchants or service providers, the application server provides the functionality to transport data in and out of the secured network. Hackers can exploit vulnerabilities in these servers and their scripts to get access to internal database that could potentially store credit card data. Some Web site configurations may not include stand alone application servers.

5 PCI Compliance Validation Service Instructions Service Enrollment Welcome During the boarding process of your merchant account, IP Pay will activate an account for you under McAfee SECURE. 7 Step 1: Click on Add Devices to add a list of requisite devices for compliance scanning purposes

8 Step 2: Agree to McAfee terms and conditions regarding device scanning

9 Step 3: Contact McAfee to verify and activate devices for scanning purposes

10 PCI Dashboard After activating your device, go to the PCI Dashboard and click on >Vulnerability Scan<

11 PCI Vulnerability Scan Click the SCAN NOW Button

12 Select HACK Simulation type of Scan Select HACK Simulation type of Scan and click Confirm
