5 GETTING STARTED PRICING PLAN SELECTION Select the pricing plan that fits your style of wagering. Go to TVG.com or call TVG Customer Relations at PLAY-TVG ( ) to select or modify your pricing plan. TVG offers the following options. 1. Pay As You Go Plan Pay 25 cents per wager up to a maximum of $19.95 per month (approximately 80 wagers), deducted from your wagering account. Wager fees refunded each month if you wager over $2,500. No deposit fees. Optional Video Streaming Add video streaming to your Pay as You Go Plan for $5.95 per month. Video streaming is FREE when you wager $200 or more during the month. Otherwise $5.95 will be charged to your credit/debit card or checking account no later than the 5 th of the following month. Receive FREE unlimited video streaming during your sign-up month. Example: sign up on August 14 th and there is no charge for video streaming during the remainder of August. (Subscribers moving from the Flat Rate Plan to the Pay As You Go Plan and former Optional Video Streaming option users are ineligible for this promotion.) 2. 6 GETTING STARTED 4 Activate Your Account Making Your Initial Deposit Now that you ve opened a personal wagering account and selected your pricing plan, it s time to have some fun. In order to activate your account, you are required to make an initial minimum deposit. A minimum deposit of $25.00 is required if you are a resident of FL, LA, KY, MD, MT, ND, OH, OR, PA or WY. All other states have a minimum initial deposit of $ Remember, TVG does not charge you to deposit funds into your wagering account. Be sure to have your Account Number ready when making a deposit or withdrawal. You will need your Account Number and PIN Your Account Number and PIN allow you to securely access your wagering account. If you do not have an Account Number and PIN, please call PLAY-TVG ( ). Never share your Account Number or PIN with anyone other than a Customer Relations Representative at TVG. OPTIONS for Making Deposits and Withdrawals 1. TVG BETCASH Authorize the electronic transfer of funds between your bank account and your TVG wagering account. CASH DEPOSITS USING GREEN DOT MONEYPAK STORED VALUE CARDS Fund your wagering account with cash by purchasing a Green Dot MoneyPak from one of tens of thousands of Green Dot locations nationwide, such as Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens or Radio Shack. WIRE TRANSFERS For information regarding wire transfers go to TVG.com, select the Help/FAQs link, then click on How do I deposit into my account? then scroll down to Wire Transfers, or call PLAY-TVG ( ) for instructions. There is no deposit limit when using Wire Transfers. 5. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER (BY MAIL) Using deposit slips and envelopes supplied with your subscriber kit, mail your check or money order made payable to TVG. For first-time deposits, a minimum of $50.00 is required to activate your account. There is no maximum deposit limit. Please allow 7-10 days for mail and processing time. To request additional deposit slips call PLAY-TVG ( ). Please do not send cash in the mail. 6. CASH DEPOSITS AT TVG DEPOSIT CENTERS Cash Deposits may be made at designated deposit centers. Horse Sense Jockey change Chemistry can be a factor. Watch for winning trainer jockey combinations, and pay attention to past performances where the jockey has performed well riding for the trainer, or riding this particular horse in the past. Competition in today s race Sometimes you ll notice one horse s racing style seems to stand out from the competition. For example, a horse who has the only speed in the race, or one that is a proven closer in a race loaded with early speed. 12

It means that when a horse has had three races within 23 days, it is in excellent condition and should be ready for a great outing. This statistic has been studied by horseplayers over time, and has proven to be a successful handicapping tool. Watch for horses that have had two sprint races after a layoff and today s race is a route (longer race) This is a favorite training angle for horses returning to route races. Pay attention to horses showing three workouts within 15 days Since most horses don t work out this often, trainers with good intent are confident their horse has an excellent chance of winning the race. 14

You collect if your selection finishes either first or second. EXAMPLE: If you bet #8 to place, you collect if #8 finishes either first or second. A $2.00 PLACE wager on #8 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager cost of $2.00 SHOW The third horse to cross the finish line SHOWS. You collect if your selection finishes first, second or third. EXAMPLE: If you bet #3 to show, you collect if #3 finishes first, second or third. A $2.00 SHOW wager on #3 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager cost of $2.00 Horse Sense Watch for horses that have been claimed in either of their last two races The claiming trainer must have liked something he saw about the horse and is seeking to recoup the buying price quickly. 16

19 WPS (WIN-PLACE-SHOW) Across the Board This bet combines the three individual bets of WIN, PLACE and SHOW. If your horse WINS, you collect on all three prices of WIN, PLACE and SHOW. If your horse finishes second, you collect the PLACE and SHOW prices of your horse. If your horse finishes third, you collect the SHOW price of your horse. A $2.00 WIN-PLACE-SHOW wager on #4 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager cost of $6.00 (3 bets x $2.00 ea.) WP (WIN-PLACE) This bet combines the two individual bets of WIN and PLACE. If your horse wins, you collect WIN and PLACE prices. If your horse finishes second, you collect the PLACE price. A $2.00 WIN-PLACE wager on #1 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager cost of $4.00 (2 bets x $2.00 ea.) WS (WIN-SHOW) This bet combines the two individual bets of WIN and SHOW. If your horse WINS, you collect WIN and SHOW prices. If your horse finishes third, you collect the SHOW price. Horse Sense First time in a claiming race Horses running for the first time in a claiming race, that are dropping from an allowance or stakes race, should improve because the competition is generally easier. If your horse finishes third, you collect the SHOW price. A $2.00 PLACE-SHOW wager on #5 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager cost of $4.00 (2 bets x $2.00 ea.) DAILY DOUBLE A DAILY DOUBLE is won by picking the winner of two consecutive races. DAILY DOUBLE wagers must be placed prior to the running of the first of the two races. EXAMPLE: If you think #4 will win the first race and #5 will win the second race, you would purchase a 4-5 DAILY DOUBLE ticket and collect if #4 wins the first race and #5 wins the second race. A $2.00 DAILY DOUBLE 4-5 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total wager amount of $2.00 QUINELLA The QUINELLA requires you to pick the first two horses to cross the finish line in either order. You pick two horses and have two chances of winning because your numbers can come in either way. EXAMPLE: If you bet a 5-6 QUINELLA, you collect if the race finishes 5-6 or 6-5. A $2.00 QUINELLA 5-6 would be entered as Enter your wager amount ($2.00) for a total cost of $

21 QUINELLA BOX When you like several horses in a race but cannot decide which will finish in the WIN and PLACE positions, a popular method of betting is to BOX your selections. EXAMPLE: You want to box three horses in the QUINELLA #6, #7 and #8. If any two of the three horses you selected finish first and second, in any order, you win. 22 EXPLANATION OF WAGERS AND EXAMPLES EXACTA BOX Another way to wager the EXACTA is the EXACTA BOX. You win if two of your selected horses finish first and second in any order.
