2 TRANSFER ARTICULATION AGREEMENT between NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Fire Protection and Safety Technology and NORTHERN ESSEX COMMUNITY COLLEGE Nth She Community College and Nthern Essex Community College, in recognition of a valuable and collabative public academic experience, have created a transfer articulation agreement between the Fire Protection and Safety Technology program at Nth She Community College and the at Nthern Essex Community College. This agreement was developed with the intent of facilitating the transfer process from Nthern Essex Community College to Nth She Community College. This agreement will serve as a guideline f students who desire transfer into the A.S. in Fire Protection and Safety Technology degree program. Students interested in participating in this transfer initiative should speak with their assigned academic advis to discuss their academic and career plans pri to enrolling in courses outlined in this agreement. Students should meet with their academic advis on a semester basis as needed to assess their progress toward the completion of the course requirements. Students, who complete the required 27 0 credits of college-level coursewk (liberal arts/ open electives) as outlined with an overall GPA of 2.0 higher, will be guaranteed acceptance into the A.S. in Fire Protection and Safety Technology degree program. Collegelevel liberal arts and open elective courses as listed in this agreement will transfer to Nth She Community College provided a grade of C better has been earned. All transfer courses will be awarded elective status (liberal arts open elective) based upon the current course status at Nth She Community College. F those courses evaluated on a case by case basis, every efft will be made to grant transfer credit that will meet the program s requirements. This agreement shall remain in effect f a period of two years from the date listed below, with the provision that the terms specified herein will continue to apply to students admitted from Nthern Essex Community College s within one year of the expiration of the agreement. Each institution agrees to provide timely notice to the other in the event of any modification to the curriculum that might affect compatibility f admission and transfer of coursewk. This agreement may be subject to change, without notice, if curriculum requirements change at either institution. Students admitted to Nthern Essex Community College s General Studies: Fire Science Transfer Option pri to such notification shall be admitted to the A.S. in Fire Protection and Safety Technology degree program at Nth She Community College on the basis of this agreement.

4 FIRE SCIENCE Students at Nthern Essex Community College may transfer 27-0 credits of coursewk into the Fire Science and Safety Protection Program. Students must complete ENG101, ENG102 and credits of additional coursewk (seven courses). Students may select the credits of coursewk from the categies that follow. Course selections should not exceed the number of credits listed next to each categy. Coursewk should not exceed 24 credits.
