3 Our Cover for Life product allows you to choose from a list of benefits, thereby allowing you to create a unique insurance solution tailored to your specific needs. Simply select the benefits below that suit your needs best. Immediate Family Funeral Benefits The Family Funeral benefit allows you to choose cover from R to R and pays out cash for the funeral and other costs if you or any of the family members you have nominated pass away. This benefit allows you to have funeral cover for yourself, your spouse and up to 6 children. If the death is caused by an accident, the cash payout will be double and cover is for life, as long as you pay your premiums. Family Funeral premiums are refunded if death occurs during the waiting period. The waiting period for this benefit is 6 months. Parents and Extended Family Funeral Benefits By insuring your parents or up to 8 family members, including children, you can rest assured that you will have the cash to help pay for the funeral and related costs. The waiting period for this benefit is 6 months. Waiver of Premium Your family should not have to deal with additional, unnecessary expenses if you pass away. The Waiver of Premium benefit pays the premiums on behalf of your insured family members for up to 10 years after your death. The waiting period for this benefit is 6 months. Monthly Assistance Benefit - Death due to an accident or natural causes This benefit eases any financial burdens you loved ones may have by providing a monthly cash payout to your beneficiaries for 12 months after your death. Income Protection for Accidents The Income Protection benefit lets you focus on your recovery by providing you with a monthly cash payout to help supplement your income for up to 12 months. Savings Units Benefit Our Savings Units Benefit provides a tax-free payout after a minimum of period of five years. The money you place in your Savings Units is invested by experienced portfolio managers who decide on the most suitable mix of investments to provide steady long-term growth and income. You may withdraw cash once in the first five years. The law states that this withdrawal amount must be limited to the amount invested plus compound interest of 5% per year. After the 5th year, you may withdraw any amount up to the cash value of the investment. Personal Accident Cover If you have an accident that leaves you disabled, this option provides cash to help meet the costs of your recovery and rehabilitation. If the accident results in your death or permanent disability, a cash payout will be made to your family. Retrenchment Cover Retrenchment Cover provides you with a monthly payment for a maximum of 6 months while you look for new employment. 3

Body Repatriation Do you have family members living far away? If a death occurs more than 100 kilometres from where the burial will take place, the Repatriation Benefit covers all costs related to bringing the body home. In the case of cremation, the ashes will be transferred to your home within South Africa.
