2 The is a Flexible Premium Deferred Annuity with a 16-year surrender charge period which pays a one year premium bonus of 10%. The offers a Fixed Interest Account and Multiple Equity Index Options. The Indexed Interest Rate is not calculated or credited between index crediting dates; consequently amounts surrendered between index crediting dates will not earn any interest credits. Any interest credit is applied to your annuity on its annual anniversary and is locked-in so future decreases in any index will not affect the interest already credited to your annuity. The proceeds may be used however you choose. A terminal illness is one which is anticipated to result in death within one yar. The diagnosis must be made by a qualified physician, defined as am MD or DO who is licensed to pratice medicine and who is not the annuitant, contract owner, or a member of either family. The Terminal Illness Rider is added to eligible annuity contracts in the states where approved if the age of the annuitant is less than 75 at policy issue. Nursing Home (t available in CA MA) This rider allows a 100% Penalty-free Withdrawal after the 3rd Contract Anniversary if the annuitant is confined in a qualified nursing care center for 90 consecutive days and confinement begins after the 3rd Contract Anniversary. If confinement occurs in the 2nd or 3rd contract year after issue and continues for 90 consecutive days, the rider allows an annual Penalty0free Withdrawal of 20% of contract value. The proceeds may be used however you choose. Qualified nursing care centers are care centers, licensed by the state, which provide 24-hour-a-day nursing care. They do not include drug or alcohol treatment centers, homes or community living centers for the aged or mentally ill, or places owned or operated by the annuitant's immediate family. Available for Annuitants under age 75 at issue. Systematic Withdrawals Systematic withdrawals are available Withdrawal Frequency: Annually Minimum account value is $2,000 Minimum amount of a withdrawal is $50 Systematic Withdrawal is a distribution program designed to simplify the payment of benefits from a deferred annuity without using a formal Settlement Option. This allows Systematic Withdrawal of interest only, or amounts sufficent to satisfy IRS minimum distributions rules. Interest Only Interest credited to the contract since the last payment will be distributed at the appropriate intervals. Payments made more frequently than once a year result in slightly less total interest than annual distributions due to the loss of compounding over time. Fixed Amount We pay the same amount in each payment, regardless of future interest rates or other withdrawal acitvity. Fixed Percentage We distribute a fixed percent of the Contract Value in regular installments. The amount of the payments may vary from year to year since they will be recalculated on each contract anniversary. te: The IRS will impose a 10% penalty on Withdrawals before age 59% except under specific conditions. All Systematic Withdrawal amounts are considered interest for tax purposes. Fixed Amount and Fixed Percentage options may also reduce the premium.
