Whether you are looking to own a home, get and keep good credit, save money, get a checking account or you just want to take the first steps to better money management, Key can help. Classes at the Key Financial Education Center are FREE and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you at the Center, located next to the KeyBank branch at Buckeye Road. For more information or to sign up, call or us at financial_ education@keybank.com. Owning A Home classes. Buying a home for the first time can be a scary thing. Clear and helpful guidance can help. Our Homebuyer Education Program will give you a good understanding of the home buying process in five helpful sessions. Home Buyer Education: Our series of five, two-hour long classes, covering all aspects of the home buying process, are offered once a quarter over a period of 10 weeks. Classes include a series of guest speakers and interactive class activities. Start out by learning the importance of budgeting before and after you buy your home. In our second class, you discover how to find the right home, negotiating the price you pay and the advantages of working with a real estate agent. Choosing the right lender is next...including how to find the best loan and how to apply for a loan. The final step of your home loan is the focus of the fourth class. Learn about costs you can expect and how the HUD-1 settlement statement may benefit you. Our final class includes tips on home inspections and home maintenance to avoid costly repairs in the future. Congratulations! You ll then have the right knowledge to make great home buying decisions!
