2 Dear parishioners, The season of Easter is over, but we will not begin Ordinary (Counted) Time for another two weeks. This week we are celebrating the feast of the Most Holy Trinity and next week we will celebrate the Body and Blood of Christ. Then we will go to the 12 th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today our celebration focuses on our triune God, three persons in one God. In our gospel we hear Jesus commissioning the apostles to go forth to teach and to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. But sometimes our terminology causes confusion. How can the Holy Spirit be one of the persons in God? I think that it helps our understanding if we look at God in another way. God is our Creator who sent his word and his spirit to us. That is our triune God creator, word and spirit. But the word fell on deaf ears and was not understood. To help mankind, the word came to us in human form (Jesus) so that we could see the word in action and hear the message more clearly. Jesus taught by word and action. When he spoke, he needed to use words that would be understood by the people of the time. The society was a very patriarchal society, everyone understood that the father cares for his family. Hence, Jesus referred to the creator as his father, and called himself the son and that brought forth the word persons. As we learn to think in more abstract terms, we can go back to the idea of Creator, Word and Spirit as our one, triune God. Carol Estimados Feligreses, La temporada de Pascua ya se terminó, pero no empezaremos con la continuación de la cuenta del Tiempo Ordinario, hasta dentro de otras dos semanas. Esta semana estamos celebrando la Fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad y la próxima semana celebraremos el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo. Entonces continuaremos con el Domingo número 12 del Tiempo Ordinario. Hoy nos enfocamos en nuestro Dios trinitario, tres personas en un solo Dios. En nuestro Evangelio escuchamos a Jesús comisionando a los apóstoles a ir a enseñar y a bautizar en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Sin embargo, algunas veces nuestra terminología causa confusión. Cómo puede el Espíritu Santo ser una de las personas en Dios? Yo creo que nos ayudaría a entender si vemos a Dios de otra manera. Dios es nuestro Creador quien envió su palabra y su espíritu a nosotros. Esto es nuestro Dios trinitario - creador, palabra y espíritu. Pero la palabra cayó en oídos sordos y no fue entendida. Para ayudar al ser humano, la palabra llegó a nosotros de forma humana (Jesús), para que nosotros viésemos la palabra en acción y escucháramos el mensaje mas claramente. Jesús enseñó de palabra y acción. Cuando El hablaba, necesitaba usar palabras que fueran entendidas por la gente de ese tiempo. La sociedad era una sociedad patriarcal, todos entendían que el padre se preocupa por su familia. De allí que Jesús se refería al creador como su padre, y se llamaba a si mismo el hijo y de allí es que se empezamos a usar la palabra personas. Al aprender a pensar en términos más abstractos, nos regresamos a la idea del Creador, Palabra y Espíritu como nuestro único Dios trinitario. Carol d Qúy ông bà và anh chị em thân mến, Mùa Phục Sinh đã kết thúc, nhưng chúng ta vẫn chưa bắt đầu Mùa Thường Niên trong hai tuần nữa. Tuần nầy chúng ta chúng ta mừng lễ Chúa Ba Ngôi và tuần tới chúng ta mừng lễ Mình Máu Thánh Chúa Kitô. Rồi chúng ta sẽ bước vào Chúa Nhật thứ mười hai Mùa Thường Niên. Thánh lễ hôm nay chúng ta chú tâm vào nhiệm thể Thiên Chúa của chúng ta, một Thiên Chúa có ba ngôi. Trong bài Phúc Âm chúng ta nghe hôm nay Chúa Giêsu sai các môn đệ đi rao giảng và làm phép rữa nhân danh Chúa Cha, Chúa con và Chúa Thánh Thần. Nhưng đôi khi chúng ta bị nhầm lẫn vì từ ngữ. Chúa Thánh Thần làm sao có thể là một ngôi trong Thiên Chúa? Tôi nghĩ chúng ta có thể hiểu được nếu chúng ta nhìn vào Thiên Chúa bằng một cách khác. Chúa là Đấng đã dựng nên chúng ta, đã gởi ngôi lời và thần khí của Ngài cho chúng ta. Đó là nhiệm thể Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi - tạo dựng, ngôi lời và thần khí. Nhưng lời Ngài đã rơi xuống trên những người bị điếc và không hiểu. Để giúp con người, ngôi lời đã xuống thế làm người(chúa Giêsu) để chúng ta có thể nhìn thấy ngôi lời trong hành động và nghe lời Ngài rõ ràng hơn. Chúa Giêsu đã giảng dạy bằng lời nói và hành động. Khi Ngài đã nói, Ngài cần dùng từ ngữ để con người trong thời đại đó có thể hiểu được. Xã hội thời đó là một xã hội rất trưởng tộc, mọi người điều hiểu rằng người cha là người luôn chăm lo cho gia đình. Vì thế, Chúa Giêsu nói đến đấng tạo hóa là cha của Ngài, và gọi bản thân của Ngài là con và đó đã được hiểu là ba ngôi. Như khi chúng ta tìm hiểu hơn về những thuật ngữ trừu tượng, chúng ta có thể đi trở lại ý tưởng về Đấng Tạo Hóa, Ngôi Lời và Thánh Thần là một của chúng ta. Nhiệm thể Thiên Chúa. Carol

We will share fun memories, bringing back all the good times of the last 7 years And of course, we will share food - food that is especially meaningful because it has been prepared by people who care about Fr. Robert not just a few people but many people who are willing to bring a dish, a desert, beverages, etc. The quantity and variety of food will show how Fr. Robert has crossed cultural boundaries to unite people. Please plan to join in the celebration. Fr Robert has a friend named Tim serving time at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California. Tim would love to have pen pals. If anyone is interested, please let Fr Robert know. A message about financial stewardship from Fr Robert Grace builds on nature. At Pentecost the Holy Spirit confirmed and sanctified something that was already among the disciples locked in that upper room. That something was trust. They trusted each other enough to stay together after the terrible events of Jesus passion and death. At Pentecost the Holy Spirit fired that mutual trust into faith. And in today s Gospel we hear Jesus channel their faith into world-wide evangelization. At Christ the King we participate in that Great Commission through liturgy, personal prayer, mutual forgiveness, visiting the sick and the imprisoned, assisting the needy, welcoming the stranger, and working for justice. But it all costs money. The principals of financial stewardship tell us that our use of money affects our faith! Our use of money is central to our ongoing conversion to ever-greater trust. Last week s collection was $11,215! This is wonderful! It tells me that many of you are trusting God more with your treasure. It tells me that, if everyone would give an amount that means real sacrifice, we could get caught up on bills by the end of June. Then we would be in a new place financially and spiritually. Again, please come to Mass with your offering already gift-wrapped in an envelope. Our goal for this weekend is $14,400. Together we can do it! Fr Robert

En Pentecostés el Espíritu Santo confirmó y santificó algo que ya existía entre los discípulos encerrados en la habitación de arriba Ese algo era confianza. Ellos confiaban unos a otros lo suficiente para permanecer juntos después de los terribles acontecimientos de la pasión y muerte de Jesús. En Pentecostés el Espíritu Santo encendió esa confianza mutua en fe. Y en el Evangelio de hoy escuchamos a Jesús encauzando esa fe dentro de una evangelización mundial/global. En Cristo Rey nosotros participamos en esa Gran Comisión a través de la liturgia, la oración personal, el perdón mutuo, visitando los enfermos y los presos, ayudando a los necesitados, dando la bienvenida a los extranjeros, y trabajando por la justicia. Pero todo esto cuesta dinero. Los principios de corresponsabilidad financiera nos dice que la manera en que usamos nuestro dinero afecta nuestra fe! Nuestro uso del dinero se desarrolla de nuestra conversión continua a una confianza aun más-grande. La colecta del fin de semana pasado fue de $11,215! Esto es maravilloso! Me dice que muchos de ustedes están confiando más en Dios con su tesoro. Me dice, que si cada quien da una cantidad que realmente signifique un sacrificio, podremos ponernos al corriente con todas nuestras facturas para el final de Junio. Nhưng nó cũng là điều rất quan trọng đó là giáo xứ - giáo xứ tổng hợp chúng ta cùng dự buổi chia tay với Ngài. Buổi Từ Giả Rất Đặc Biệt 20 tháng 6 năm 2009 Thánh lễ lúc 6:16 chiều ( cùng cầu nguyện với Ngài và cho Ngài) Buổi tiệc tiệp theo sau thánh lễ, tại hội trường. Buổi tiệc sẽ có: Múa! Hát! Và nhiều mục khác! Chúng ta sẽ cùng chia sẻ những kỷ niệm vui, hồi tưởng lại tất cả những giờ phút tốt đẹp trong thời gian 7 năm qua. Và dĩ nhiên, chúng ta sẽ chia sẻ thức ăn - thức ăn cũng có ý nghiã rất đặc biệt bởi vì nó đưỡc chuẩn bị bởi những người quan tâm đến cha Robert không phải chỉ một vài người nhưng rất nhiều người sẳn sàng đem đến những món thức ăn chính, tráng miệng, nước uống, v.v.. số lượng và thức ăn khác nhau sẽ cho thấy cha Robert đã vượt qua ranh giới văn hóa để kết hợp mọi người với nhau như thế nào. Xin sắp xếp để đến tham dự. Tài Chánh Giáo Xư Quyên tiền cuối tuần qua được $11, so với chỉ tiêu là 13, Xin Thiên Chúa chúc lành tràn đầy cho quý vị Thông báo về tài chánh từ Cha Robert Ân huệ được gây dựng trên tự nhiên. Ngày lễ Ngũ Tuần Chúa Thánh Thần đã ban thêm sức mạnh và thánh hóa trên các thánh tông đồ ở trong phòng khóa kín. Đó là những sự tín thác. Sự tín thác vào nhau đủ để ở với nhau sau biến cố đau thương của Chúa Giêsu chịu khổ hình và chịu chết. Trong ngay lễ Ngũ Tuần Chúa Thánh Thần đốt lên ngọn lữa để hổ trợ cho sự tín thác vào đức tin. Và bài Phúc Âm chúng ta nghe hôm nay, Chúa Giêsu đào sâu đức tin của họ vào việc tuyền đạt Tin Mừng của Chúa cho nhân loại. Tại Giáo Xứ Chúa Kitô Vua chúng ta tham gia vào những trách mhiệm cao quý về phụng vụ, cầu nguyện, cùng tha thứ, thăm viếng người đau yếu và người bị tù đày, giúp đở người nghèo, đón tiếp người xa lạ, và tranh đấu cho công lý. Nhưng tất cả những điều đó cần phải có tiền. Nguyên nhân chính của việc quản lý tài chánh nói với chúng ta rằng cách dùng tiền bạc liên quan đến đức tin của chúng ta!
