2 WHO WE ARE Originally established in 1896 as the Briggs-Weaver Machinery Company and later purchased by Charles A. Sammons in 1952, Briggs Equipment became a separate working operation of the Sammons Enterprises, Inc. in Today we are one of the largest materials handling and construction equipment distributors in the world; operating in the US, Mexico, and United Kingdom. 3 OUR HISTORY 1896 Briggs Weaver was founded by CH Briggs and CJ Weaver, in Dallas TX providing customers with pump set ups and material handling equipment Charles A. Sammons, founder of Sammons Enterprises, Inc., a Dallas based company, took ownership of Briggs-Weaver Briggs Weaver adds Trackmobile railcar mover brand to the family of equipment. Founded in 1947, Trackmobile is the largest railcar mover manufacturer in the world Briggs becomes a Yale Forklift dealer, distributing Yale s full line of products The Taylor forklift brand is added to serve the large truck market along the gulf coast ports Briggs implemented contractor rental to meet the needs of the growing construction market Briggs expands operations into Mexico, contracting with Chrysler Derramadero. In 1996 Briggs Mexico becomes a Yale dealer Formed Briggs Equipment as a separate Sammons Enterprises, Inc. company focused on distributing material handling and rental equipment across the southern and southwestern United States Expands operations into the United Kingdom as a CAT dealer Briggs UK converts from Caterpillar and becomes a Yale dealer Briggs Mexico acquires Equinter (a Hyster dealer) and United Rentals.

4 OUR TECHNICIANS OUTSIDE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN This position performs basic scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on industrial equipment. This is an entry-level technician position leading to a Shop or Road Technician position once the required skills and certifications have been attained. SHOP TECHNICIAN This position provides service and repair for industrial equipment in an environment that requires specialized equipment, such as an overhead crane. Work done in the shop cannot normally be done at a Customer s facility. Shop Technicians require extensive skills, certifications, and ROAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN This position provides service and repair for materials handling equipment in the Customer s facility. As the Briggs representative, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Briggs. Primary objectives are to ensure that the Customer s equipment has the greatest availability for use possible and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their materials handling equipment. Road Technicians require extensive skills and experience along with technical certifications. 5 OUR BENEFITS We offer all full-time employees one of the richest benefit offerings in the nation, including: Term Life Insurance Briggs Equipment provides all full-time employees Term Life Insurance in an amount equal to 2 times their gross annual earnings at no cost to the employee. Short Term Disability Insurance This insurance provides 65% of an employee s base salary for up to 26 weeks if totally disabled at no cost to the employee. Long Term Disability Insurance If disabled for longer than 26 weeks, this insurance provides 67% of an employee s covered compensation up to age 65 for a disability resulting from either an accident or illness at no cost to the employee. Supplemental Insurance Employees are given the opportunity to purchase additional accident care, cancer, heart/stroke, and hospital confinement insurance coverage. Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD & D) Provides employees with accidental death and dismemberment insurance. All employees are automatically insured for an amount equal to 2 times their gross annual earnings up to $100,000 at no cost to the employee. Business Travel Accident Insurance Provides all full-time employees with accidental death and dismemberment insurance. All employees will be insured for an amount equal to 2 times their gross annual earnings up to $100,000 at no cost to the employee. Employee Stock Ownership Plan All employees who are employed for the full span of January 1 through December 31 and work at least 1,000 hours are given an allocation of Sammons stock. Allocations are a percentage of W2 earnings, subject to vesting. 401(k) Briggs Equipment offers both a traditional 401(k) and a Roth 401(k).
