Best Practices for Secure Meetings - Admin Cisco WebEx is a very secure environment yet it can be configured as a very open place to collaborate. Understanding the privacy features as site-administrators and end-users can allow you to tailor WebEx to your business needs. All meetings should be unlisted All meetings should have password Do not allow join before host

Best Practices Policy Settings

Best Practices for Secure Meetings - Host When Scheduling a Meeting Schedule unlisted meetings, secure meeting with passwd, Exclude passwd, Require attendee to have an account, Choose meeting topic carefully, Use entry/exit tone, Assign alternate host During the Meeting Restrict Meeting Access (Lock), Validate identity, Expel participants, Share content not desktop After the Meeting Assign password for recordings, delete recordings Consideration for PCN host (Audio only meetings) Create a strong Host PIN and protect it For Your Reference WebEx Quick Start Guide WebEx Security White Paper

CCA Enterprise Reducing the cost of the WebEx audio Available Globally minimum 300 audio ports (1.5M minutes per month) A SIP trunking service, connecting customer s telephones to WebEx s conference servers Direct network peering with Enterprise customers Eliminates PSTN traversal, along with the associated costs, quality and reliability issues Replaces the per-minute price model with a flat rate for specific number of concurrent calls and possible future MP audio replacement as well SIP based Supports g.711 only Requires redundant MPLS srtp not supported Supports both ISR/ASR Available on GPL Can mix with PSTN & VoIP Media Gateway Before (PSTN, per minute charges) PSTN (Carrier) V Enterprise Customer DS3 Q931/ATM MGX 8880 MGCP Q931/IP Internet RTP PGW 2200 SIP V WebEx Audio Platform (WAP) After (Gigabit Ether, fixed price) Enterprise Customer Internet GbE SIP/RTP CUBE WebEx Audio Platform (WAP) WebEx Core: MMP, Eureka, etc. WebEx Core: MMP, Eureka, etc.

Cisco WebEx CCA - Service Provider Peering Architecture WebEx Service DMARC WebEx CUBE Internet SIP Trunk SP SBC E1/T1, E3, T3 Ethernet, DSL SP Network TDM PRIs E1/T1, E3, T3 Ethernet, DSL Enterprise A Network Enterprise B Network Location 1 Location N Location 1 Audio (RTP/SIP Signaling) Data/Video/Desktop based VOIP PSTN On-net Users - Users on Corporate network Off-net Users Will come through PSTN In this model, the Service Provider connects directly to Cisco via a dedicated IP peering connections. All audio conferencing calls, from both off-net and on-net users, will flow over SP s telephony network. Cisco will provide the audio mixing.

CCA-Enterprise or CCA-SP? CCA-Enterprise Niche offer for innovators and early adopters 1.5+ million minutes of audio per month Majority of minutes on-net Robust IPT and WAN, TEHO Willing to "be a Service Provider" WebEx audio rates not competitive for typical CCA customer long sales cycle Does not include SIP trunk or PSTN access Upfront Day 1 services costs Upfront hardware costs CCA-SP Same great user experience Larger target market of customers, partner can sell to any customer million minutes of audio per month no longer required Includes SIP trunk and PSTN access Not as dependent on robust IPT network Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) or Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) not required High percentage of off-net traffic ok Low off-net rates Better billing capabilities Shorter sales cycle Limited upfront Hardware and Services costs

WebEx Directory Integration

WebEx User Account Management Options Option Manual updates through Org Admin File import to Org Admin Directory Integration (FTP approach and will be depreciated soon) Single Sign-On Description Admin can use Org Admin to manually update user accounts Admin can create and update accounts by importing a change file into Org Admin Semi-automatic method for creating, updating and deactivating user accounts and groups. Customer creates scripts to capture account changes in their Active Directory. The change files are uploaded to a WebEx FTP server and automatically imported into Connect user DB Advanced Services engagement SSO can be configured to automatically create accounts when user logsin to Connect for the first time SAML assertion provides user information Accounts can be created and updated but not deactivated

WebEx integration for SSO 1. Get the metadata from the SP ( WebEx ) Need to get the metadata from the WebEx site in the SSO configuration This file will provide the certificates required to exchange HTTP information This file also provides information on what is the : NameID formats accepted by the Webex Site, we recommend the use of urn:oasis:names:tc:saml:1.1:nameid-format:unspecified Location of the Service https://<sitename>.webex.com/dispatcher/saml2authservice?siteurl=<sit ename> What kind of SAML binding we are going to use SAML 2.0 using HTTP-POST

WebEx integration for SSO 2. Configuring the IdP ( IdP and SP Components ) Most of the vendors always have two major tasks that together define the agreement between the IdP<->SP: 1. When configuring the IdP part, we need to define what authentication mechanism we are going to use. 2. With the metadata xml file that we got from WebEx we configure the SP component

WebEx integration for SSO 3. Export the metadata from the IdP Similar to what we did in the beginning with the WebEx Site we are going to export the metadata of the IdP to enable SSO on the SP (SP ) In our example we export the metadata from PingFederate SP and we include the X509 certificate, binding services and locations

WebEx integration for SSO 4. Import the metadata from the IdP Change the AuthContextClassDef to urn:oasis:names:tc:saml:2.0:ac:classes:unspecified Now back to the WebEx configuration we will import the metadata from the IdP. After the Importing you will notice that information on IdP ID, Login URL and Certificated fulfill

WebEx User Account Creation and Update (This is optional) To enable the provision using SAML we need : Change the WebEx site configuration to enable the creation and update Add extra attributes in the IdP to the Synchronization agreement ( , firstname, lastname, uid and updatetimestamp )
