1 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (May 6, 2009): CONTACT: Michael Propper Pull-Tight Theatre Phone & Voice Mail: Address: Website URL: FREE PRELUDE EVENT: Blithe Spirit: Interview With The Psychic Event Features Readings Thursday, May 28, 2009, 7:30 PM FRANKLIN, Tennessee (May 6, 2009)-- Pull-Tight Theatre s successful outreach and education Prelude series continues its fourth season on Thursday, May 28, 2009, when Prelude host Mike Propper will interview special guest Robyn Growdon, an Intuitive Counselor. Intuitive Counselor? Well, in other words, Ms. Growdon is a medium or psychic. Ms. Growdon will do a special reading of the historic Pull-Tight building (which was formerly a church) and if there s time, she may also do individual readings. Blithe Spirit: Interview With The Psychic will be held at Pull-Tight Theatre in Franklin, and is free and open to the public. Those who attend the Prelude will be eligible to win a Door Prize: 2 tickets to Blithe Spirit. This may be one of our most exciting Preludes, Propper said. This is the first time I ve met a psychic, medium, or Intuitive Counselor. Robyn is refreshingly articulate and frank about what she does and how she does it. It was while she was studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles that Ms. Growdon discovered her gift. During a successful career in regional theatre and Off-Broadway, she began to develop her psychic talents through personal exploration and education.

2 Pull-Tight Players/Blithe Spirit Prelude Press Release page 2 of 5 Ms. Growdon graduated from Belmont University with a B.A. in Psychology and has a great deal of insight into how she came to discover her gift, develop it through personal exploration and education, and offer her services to others as an Intuitive Counselor. She has a worldwide practice. The Prelude and Blithe Spirit The Prelude is associated with the opening of Pull-Tight s latest production, Noel Coward s comedy, Blithe Spirit on the following night, Friday, May 29, Blithe Spirit is Coward s 1941 record-breaking comedy about a novelist whose deceased wife s ghost returns to haunt him and his second wife after a séance with the übereccentric and just-plain-weird Madame Arcati. The 1945 David Lean film starred Rex Harrison, Constance Cummings, and Margaret Rutherford as Madame Arcati. A Broadway revival earlier this year featured Angela Lansburty as Madame Arcati. The Prelude program starts with a selected scene from Blithe Spirit, performed by the cast, followed by the interview, readings, questions and discussion. The Prelude will last approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Pull-Tight Theatre is located at 112 Second Avenue South in downtown Franklin, TN. Admission and refreshments are free, but seating is limited, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Pull-Tight Prelude Series Pull-Tight's free Prelude Series offers audiences a broader understanding of each Pull- Tight production by exploring an interesting aspect of each show with an expert. Now in its fourth season, Pull-Tight Preludes have featured a wide variety of programs including: MTSU History Professor Amy Staples: "Mister Roberts: A Story about American Leadership and Citizen Sailors in World War II;" V.A. and Vanderbilt Clinical Neuropsychologist Kim Marshman, Ph.D.: "Run for Your Wife: Lies, Lives, and Laughter;" Roger Stewart and Lisa Hubler of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness): "The Family and Mental Illness in Proof; "The Boys Next Door: Chronic Mental Illness and the Challenge of Independent Living" Professor Keith Moore of Belmont University on "HMS Pinafore: Fun with Gilbert and Sullivan;" Professor Jim Lovensheimer of Vanderbilt University on "Hello, Dolly: More Than a Showstopper;" "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying: A Musical and Its Time;" and
