1 KenCom Public Safety Dispatch Telecommunicator (Full-time) KenCom Public Safety Dispatch is a consolidated emergency communications center located in Kendall County. KenCom is a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation currently serving thirteen Police, Fire, and EMS agencies in Kendall County. KenCom is currently seeking Telecommunicator applicants that have the desire to work in an exciting, challenging and rewarding career field. Telecommunicator job duties include, but are not limited to answering telephones, transmitting vital information to emergency personnel via the radio, relaying information via the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, and answering administrative lines serving the police and fire personnel. Telecommunicator starting salary range is between $19.59 to $24.02 per hour based on experience. Additional benefits include an IMRF retirement plan as well as insurance packages for medical, dental, and life. Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent Applicants must be able to accurately type at least 35 wpm Applicants must be able to pass the applicant testing, full police background investigation, psychological exam and drug/hearing/physical screenings Schedule flexibility and multi-tasking are paramount Ability to work any of the 3 shifts, weekends and holidays along with overtime that may be mandatory Beneficial Qualifications: Previous experience in a public safety environment, preferably in dispatching Experience with computer-based, multi-line telephone equipment Computer / data entry experience Applications are available at or at our facility located at 1100 Cornell Lane, Yorkville, IL
