Lila is a European project co-funded by the program Interreg IV-B North West Europe and lead by Promotech, Business innovation Center in Nancy (France), in partnerships with Digital Birmingham (England), Ini-Novation (Germany), Technoport (Luxembourg) & European Business Network (Belgium). 5 PARTNERS 2 OBSERVERS Objectif du projet / Project objective Préparer l internationalisation d entreprises innovantes (secteur numérique et environnement) par l implication d utilisateurs dans la validation et le co-développement des produits et services. The project aims to foster internationalization of innovative companies in the energy and digital economy, by involving people in a process of co-designing to validate & adapt products and services to each regional market. The process integrates 3 mains steps: > Initiate the process / Run the Lab methodology / Interface and disseminate

2 Lila process overview La phase de détection des utilisateurs permet de réunir un groupe local pour une présentation produit puis des questionnements sur le projet d un entrepreneur issu d une autre région d Europe. After partners detect startups, they match projects depending targeted region, and allocate a partners to prepare the Lab (including the presentation of the product in term of use, the typology of users, the questioning or issues from the entrepreneurs). Then, the assigned partner is in charge to organize the focus group, test of use, with users. He produces debrief synthesis, feedbacks, and improvement paper of the method. To keep the link and interest between users and startup, he makes people contribute on the online platform and post regular feedback, he follows the management of the user community. If you plan to export in other regional and international markets, you can validate the features of your product /service,

3 by potential customers. The received feedback helps you tailorise to the specific customers needs and reduces the risk by entering new markets. The participation in the lab is free of charge. The selected startups, listed in the table, have already expressed their interest to test and adapt their product before internationalize their innovative products. Depuis Janvier 2013, 4 réunions des partenaires Historic of the partners meetings ( 1 ) The Kick-off meeting was held in Nancy by Promotech on th January 2013 to launch the project. ( 2 ) The partners were in Brussels in EBN office on 9-10 th April to discuss about communication material and drafting of the process. ( 3 ) Ini-Novation welcome partners in Darmstadt on th June to design the whole process of Lila, met a new member from Birmingham and decide the choice of the IT provider. ( 4 ) The partners gathered on th September in the Technoport of Luxembourg to discover enterprises project to involve in Lila process.
