3 What is Superfast Lancashire and Why are we doing this? 130m investment in superfast broadband within Lancashire, replacing the network with Fibre connections Upon completion of the rollout 97% of the county will have access to superfast broadband that s 675,000 premises! - Currently at 48% live circa 332,000 premises SME s represent 14.1 million people and have a combined turnover of 15.billion (Source: Federation of Small Businesses) 3M investment to provide eligible businesses with 12 hours FREE Business Support to help take advantage of the new technology available Protection and generation of Lancashire jobs Expected: 2,500 protected and 1,200 created Broadband enables business expansion, job creation and economic growth
