LAW CLERK ADVANCED (THREE SEMESTERS) Intake: May 2016 MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN NON-DESTRUCTIVE EVALUATION (TWO SEMESTERS) Gain the skills and knowledge required to inspect, examine and test modes of transportation and large structures to detect possible internal or external defects without causing damage to their future use or well-being. Graduates will be prepared to take the certification exams administered by the Canadian General Standards Board. Aerospace, automotive, railway or shipping companies. Defence and military. PICKERING LEARNING SITE: Operated in partnership with Centennial College. Offers four DC graduate certificate programs in addition to continuing education courses on evenings and weekends. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION Our Oshawa and Whitby campuses are located in the heart of Durham Region, just 40 minutes east of Toronto and our Pickering Learning Site (PLS) is located 25 minutes east of the city, just north of Highway 401. All three locations offer access to sports, entertainment, education and music and are close to Canada s leading business and cultural centre. Come to where you can ski, snowboard, hike, walk, bike, windsurf, sail, fish and more within 30 minutes of campus. WHITBY CAMPUS: Award-winning Skills Training Centre, a leading facility in preparing apprentices and skilled trades students for a wide range of trades positions. Recently completed a three-phase construction project that saw $44 million invested in an expanded presence in Durham Region designed to develop new programs and grow the skilled workforce needed for our local communities to prosper. Includes the 36,000-square-foot Centre for Food (CFF), which opened in September 2013 and can accommodate approximately 900 students studying in culinary, hospitality, tourism, agriculture and horticulture programs. The CFF offers: Bistro 67, a full-service, green-certified teaching-inspired restaurant and lounge. Pantry, a retail food store featuring fresh-baked items, mealsto-go, preserved foods and ready-to-cook meals prepared in-house. A lecture theatre equipped with a convection oven, gas stove, induction stoves, deep fryer, griddle and grill as well as overhead cameras and large-screen projection. 15 HOW TO APPLY STEP 1 Review your program s admission requirements Each graduate certificate and compressed, fast-track program has specific minimum educational requirements that you must possess in order to apply. Please visit each program s web page (listed in green in their description on pages 12 to 13) for current admission requirements. STEP 2 Check the application deadlines: September-start programs: Sunday, February 1, January-start programs: Friday, May 1, May-start programs: Friday, January 1, STEP 3 Go to the Ontario Colleges Application Service (OCAS) website at and select your program(s). Complete the application by following the steps identified on the OCAS website. STEP 4 Send any other required documents (as identified on the program s web page) to the Strategic Enrolment Services office at 2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, ON, L1H 7K4 by the deadlines indicated above. STEP 5 Once you have applied, you may check the status of your application on the OCAS website or on the MyCampus portal. 15
