18 Bid Writing Hints and Tips Common Faux Pas Assume nothing our evaluation process is designed to ensure only the information contained within a bid is evaluated (we evaluate what we read, not what we know) Use all the space available but don t exceed it Comply with the font size the goals for all competing teams must be the same size (and we do check) Each question is self contained don t cross reference All subcontractors must provide written assurance as part of the submitted bid that they have agreed in principle to the commercial arrangements with the bidding organisation. Any changes in sub contractors requires DWP approval Ensure your financials match your qualitative response Remember where you offer higher than the specification requirements, that is what you will be contracted for and managed against Department for Work & Pensions 18
