The Network The Learn Local Mornington eninsula (LLM) network is an alliance of seven Learn Local organisations located conveniently for you across the eninsula. LLM network is an innovative community of local organisations supporting quality learning. roudly supporting the learning needs of Mornington eninsula communities, we offer low cost, high quality learning opportunities from leisure courses to nationally recognised Certificate and Diploma courses aimed at improving your career options. Network members are government-registered, community education providers that take pride in helping every learner feel relaxed and supported. With seven locations across the Mornington eninsula it s never been so easy to Learn Local. New skills can be life changing and also lead to more job choices - Learn Local Mornington eninsula is here to help you on your unique learning journey. You can learn: in a local centre; in a friendly environment; with people who are focused on what you need. Learn Local centres have a wide range of programs for everyone, offering the convenience of education and training just around the corner. Designed to develop confidence and skills, programs can lead to further learning, a job or both. They offer a range of activities including: opportunity to meet like-minded people; courses to help you start work, go back to work, change jobs or keep your job; low cost childcare; courses that provide you with nationally recognised vocational qualifications; health and wellbeing courses; volunteering opportunities; courses to help you get back into learning.

3 The Organisations Advance is a non-profit, community-based Registered Training Organisation that has been providing training and employment support services to the Mornington eninsula and Bayside communities since Its prime focus is to provide quality education and training that reflects the needs and opportunities of the local community. Advance offers a large range of Nationally recognised qualifications including Health and Community Services, Aged Care, Children s Services, Horticulture, Hospitality and short courses across the eninsula providing pathways to employment and/or further study. Advance also provide basic education for adults and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) at Mornington, Rosebud and Hastings. Mornington Community Contact responds to the needs of the community by providing social contact, childcare, individual and family support and also opportunities to learn in a friendly and non-discriminative environment. Call in for a chat and find out what s on in your community. We can help with career options, training and study pathways including adult education, literacy and a variety of vocational programs. We offer various activities including art and craft, personal development, free counseling, language and first aid. Our children s services include Take-A- Break childcare, a 3 year old program and playgroups. Mount Eliza Village Neighbourhood Centre is a non-profit, community-based Neighbourhood Centre that has been providing social, educational, recreational and vocational programs to the local community since As a community organisation, Mt Eliza Village Neighbourhood Centre provides local opportunities for engagement in activities for its community with the aim to improve learning and engagement in the wider community. rograms offered include computer skill building, health and wellbeing opportunities, family and children support services, playgroup activities, adult day care respite for carers, social gatherings to meet others within the community and opportunities to develop skills to find or maintain employment or to develop pathways to further studies. Mt Martha Community Learning Centre Inc (formerly Community One Inc) is a not for profit organisation based in Mt Martha House and has been servicing the Mt Martha community for more than 33 years. It provides lifelong learning opportunities for every age from childhood, through to youth and vocational courses to seniors activities. As a Registered Training Organisation, MMCLC is a respected and qualified provider of a number of accredited courses including Children s Services, Training and Assessment, Aged Care, Home Services and the Certificate in General Education for Adults (Youth Stream) rogram. MMCLC offers a comprehensive range of hobby and vocational courses. Maybe you want to learn new skills, enjoy hobbies with like minded people or just want to connect with others in the community. eninsula Adult Education and Literacy is a Not-for-profit, Learn Local Centre at Rosebud, providing courses and face-to-face learning in adult reading, writing and speaking English, as well as computer classes and personal development. Our classes are small and friendly and take place in a supportive environment. Our enthusiastic and committed team of tutors are qualified, experienced adult education and literacy teachers. Some of our courses are Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) funded. Further information on funding is available on enquiry. An interview needs to be booked with the Manager before a literacy class. Concessions for some courses are available. All fees must be paid seven days prior to start of course. Rye Beach Community Centre is an incorporated, community-based and managed, not-for-profit organisation offering a wide range of social, recreational and educational programs and activities to local residents. It began in 1984 as a result of an expression of community needs and awareness of the lack of community facilities. The centre has a strong philosophy based on social justice principles of non-discrimination, access and equity and empowerment of the individual and the community as a whole. It currently operates in a modern building, owned and maintained by the Mornington eninsula Shire, in the heart of Rye. Sorrento Community Centre offers a range of adult community education and training programs for people from all walks of life. Courses range from basic computer skills to workplace training for business or community services. The focus is on individual needs, tailoring programs for both learners and businesses. Our latest classes using iads are very popular. No matter what level of education or training you have had in the past, Learn Local can help. New skills can be life changing, offering job choices, further education and the chance to interact with others in your Learn Local community. The centre is available for hire, with facilities including training rooms, a small kitchen and a multipurpose stadium that is ideal for sports, events and shows.
