7 Interstate Compact in Law The Interstate Compact is adopted as law by the State Legislature. Certain parts may vary from state to state, but the bulk of the Interstate Compact is the same. Adopted by 48 states and the District of Columbia (approximately 98 percent of military school-age children in the US) as of June ***Know these***
