2 Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation Scholarships (ESA) Deadline: 2/1/2016 Amount: $500 to $1000 Eligibility: Procedures: The ESA Foundation awards numerous scholarships annually. American Indian Endowed Scholarship Deadline: 2/1/2016 Amount: $500 to $2,000 Eligibility: Must be a student with close cultural ties to an American Indian tribe who is planning to attend an accredited college or university. This is a needs based scholarship but the recipient must also be willing to use their education for the betterment of their tribe. Procedures: Must demonstrate financial need and include three letters of recommendation, statement of intent and transcript. Application is online. AXA Achievement Community Scholarship Deadline: 2/1/2016 Amount: $2,500 and your school receives a $2,500 grant per winner! Eligibility: SENIOR, US citizen or legal resident. The more applicants the more chances of winning! Plan of full time enrollment in a 2 or 4 year college/university in the fall of Procedures: Must be ambitious and motivated, as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community, or work activities, and be recommended by an unrelated adult who can attest to the student's achievement. Applicants will describe an outstanding long-term achievement they have accomplished in a non-academic activity or project. Fair Chance Scholarship Deadline: 2/12/2016 Amount: $1,500 ( x 2yrs) Eligibility: SENIOR: planning on attending an accredited two or four year college, university or trade/technical school. Must be currently working, volunteering or involved in a schoolsponsored activity. Prior involvement with the Fair ( 4-H, FFA, etc.) and financial need may Procedures: Complete application form, include a copy of unoficial transcript and two letters of recommendation. Anderson Criminal Justice Scholarship Deadline: 2/12/2016 Amount: $2,500 Eligibility: SENIOR: planning to attend an accredited two year or four year college or university in Washington state that offers a Criminal Justice program. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in law enforcement. Procedures: Complete the application and include unofficial transcript and two letters of recommendation. 3 Washington State Employees Credit Union Scholarship Deadline: 2/12/2016 Amount: $2,500 (4 yr) $1,500 (2 yr or tech) Eligibility: SENIOR, Washington State Employees Credit Union member planning to attend college full time in fall following high school graduation. ACPE Scholarships-Association of Computer Professionals in Education Deadline: 2/14/2016 Amount: $2,500 Nomination Eligibility: Senior who has been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school Career and are planning to pursue studies in a technology related field. Has a minimum C+ GPA or better. Must have created a simple website describing their own Technology project and include links to evidence of that project. Procedures: Application available on-line. Applicant will need to submit transcripts, some community/school activity, 2 nominating teacher signatures required. Better Business Bureau Students of Integrity Scholarship Deadline: 2/14/2016 Amount: $10,000, Eligibility: SENIOR: Attend an accredited high school in Alaska, Oregon or Western Washington; Graduate in 2016 with plans to attend an accredited higher education institution; and, meet the academic requirements, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Group applications may have no more than three students. Procedures: Create a 90-second video explaining how BBB helps people become smart consumers focused on one of these area: Identify theft and fraud, online marketplace scams, phony online reviews or charity scams. Complete application online Whatcom County Student Athlete Scholarship-Todd Curran Memorial Deadline: 2/17/2016 Amount: $8,000 Eligibility: SENIOR, Academic Achievement(3.0), Community Service, and Sports Activity. Procedures: Application in Career Center. Recommendations, copy of transcript, completed application. One girl and one boy selected from all of Whatcom County.The two scholarships awarded are $2,000 per year for four years. Create a Greeting Card Deadline: 2/25/2016 Amount: $10,000 Eligibility: SENIOR: one entry per person, Submit photo, artwork or computer graphic for the front of a greeting card, see official site for all rules. Procedures: Photo, art or graphics submitted must be your own original work/creation.

4 Whatcom Dollars for Scholars Deadline: 2/26/2016 Amount: $500 minimum Eligibility: SENIOR: Planning to attend either technical, community or 4-yr college/university in the fall. Several scholarships available with a variety of criteria. Many focus on Academic Achievement, School & Community Service Activities OR Financial need. Students can complete the profile before the scholarship goes live Feb 1st Procedures: This ONE COMMON Application allows you to be eligible for several possible scholarships through the Whatcom Dollars for Scholars Chapter. WCC Foundation scholarship Deadline: 2/29/2016 Amount: $200 to full tuition Eligibility: Senior, planning to attend Whatcom Community College. Buick Achievers Scholarship Program Deadline: 2/29/2016 Amount: $2,000/$25,000 per year Eligibility: SENIOR: Enrolling in 4-year college or university, planning to major in one of the following: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Business, Administration, Finance, Marketing or Design and are interested in a career in automotive or related industries. Recognizing success both inside and outside the classroom, for students who may not be able to attend college without financial assistance. Procedures: Academic achievement, community service, work experience, financial need, minority, first generation college student, Firefighter Jason Karwhite Memorial Scholarship Deadline: 2/29/2016 Amount: $250-$2,000 Eligibility: SENIOR: planning to pursue a career in fire service, fire sciences, health, emergency medical or medical sciences. Application is in hardcopy only and available from the Career Procedures: 2 letters of recommendation required, essay ( 300 words or less) describing planned career field, career goals and why. Official high school transcript required. Washington State Opportunity Scholarship Deadline: 2/29/2016 Amount: $3,000 Eligibility: SENIOR, Min 2.75 GPA, Washington state resident, pursuing a 4 year degree. Supports lowand middle-income students pursuing eligible high demand majors in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care. Engebretson Foundation Deadline: 3/1/2016 Amount: $10,000 Eligibility: SENIOR: financial need, leadership, community service, 3.75 min GPA or top 5%, 28 or higher on ACT or 1240 min on SAT. Procedures: Complete on-line application and teacher recommendation forms. Application must be mailed in to the address provided. Edward W. Stimpson Scholarship Deadline: 3/1/2016 Amount: $5,000 Eligibility: Senior from Washington State who intends on studying at the University of Washington or Western Washington University. Created in honor of Bellingham native Ambassador Edward W. Stimpson, this application can be found on the WASHBOARD scholarship website. Procedures: Complete the application on the Washboard.org website.. On this site, students create profiles, are instantly matched with the scholarships for which they are eligible, and can apply, all through the same portal. Nora Stone Smith Scholarship Deadline: 3/1/2016 Amount: $1,000 - $2,000 Eligibility: Senior The purpose of the Nora Stone Smith Scholarship is to honor and to give financial support to deserving ESL/ELL high school seniors in Washington. Masonic Scholar Citizen Award Deadline: 3/7/2016 Amount: $600-$1,500 Nomination Eligibility: JUNIOR: Academic achievement, community service, activities, GPA. Top students are selected (5 boys, 5 girls), for letter awards. Top student from each high school will receive $600, top student from among the 9 Whatcom County high schools will receive $1,500. 7 Ewing C. Kelly Scholarship Deadline: 3/10/2016 Amount: $2,500 Eligibility: SENIOR, Designed to reward students who demonstrate good citizenship while striving to attain their academic goals. Judged on academic merit, extra-curricular achievements-both scholastically and in the community--and financial need.sat-1400 or ACT-20 composite; must be accepted or have an application pending at an 2-4 year college/university. Also must be a U.S Citizen or have a green card. Last year there were 700 applicants and 52 Procedures: This is a general scholarship that can be used at any 2 or 4-yr. College. SEA MAR Farm Worker College Scholarship Deadline: 3/15/2016 Amount: $1000 Eligibility: SENIOR, from Washington seasonal or migrant farm worker background, financial need, planning to go to college (2-yr, tech or 4-yr) in the fall. McMenamin Law Scholarship Deadline: 3/15/2016 Amount: $2,500 Eligibility: SENIOR: short video and essay contest for high school senior planning to attend a 2-5 year institution the fall after graduation. Min GPA not required. Students do not need ot be pursuing a law degree to apply. Procedures: Create and submit a short video ( seconds) describing " What does community mean to you " and " How have you made your Washington community a better place?" Coolidge Scholars Program Deadline: 3/18/2016 Amount: full-ride Eligibility: JUNIOR: planning to attend any accredited four year university. 8 Pickett Law Firm Scholarship Deadline: 3/30/2016 Amount: $2,500 Eligibility: SENIOR: short video and essay contest for high school seniors planing to attend a 2-5 year institution the fall after graduation. No minimum gpa required. Students do not have to be pursuing a degree in law to apply. Procedures: Create and submit a short video ( seconds) describing " What motivates you to go to college? How do you serve or help other people? How do you plan to contribute to this world in the future? " Hearthstone Housing Foundation Deadline: 3/30/2016 Amount: $500-$5,000 Eligibility: Bellingham residents ages are eligible to apply. 3.0 GPA, planning to attend 4 year, 2 year, Technical College or Community College. Shell Associate Degree Scholarship Deadline: 3/31/2016 Amount: $2,200 Eligibility: SENIOR: US citizen, enrolled in a two- year associate program and in at least one Process Tech or Instrumentation course per quarter. Part-time and Full-time students are required to maintain a specific number of credits to be eligible for the scholarship - see application for guidelines. Students must complete the two-year degree within three years to remain Procedures: Apply on-line Bill Coats Law Video Scholarship Contest Deadline: 3/31/2016 Amount: $100,$250,$750 Eligibility: Grades 9-12: Video entries can be in following format: Public Service Announcemetn, short film, TV commercial or viral-type video. Procedures: Video entries must be of original content and between 45 seconds and 3 minutes in length and answer the qustion, " How can drivers be safer abd reduce driver error?" Chelsey Ebert Memorial Scholarship-Volleyball Deadline: 4/10/2016 Amount: $444 Eligibility: Senior planning to attend college in fall must have participated in High School girls Procedures: Complete statement of 300 words or less describing what you received from your volleyball experience, an additional statement of 100 words or less about your career plans. Also include a short essay describing one political or community service activity you have been involved in.
