2 The Ranier Roost was started in 1987 with just a 7-bed facility. It was the first and only assisted living facility at that time with a family style approach to caring for our area s elderly in a residence setting. Since that time, owner Mary Decker-RN has expanded the Ranier Roost into a 23-bed facility. In 2003, Mary purchased Papermaker s Place, a 9-bed facility. We are more than a typical customized living residence. Our residents are family, and that is exactly how they are cared for. Decker s Family Care is the longest operating Customized Living Facility in the area with the most experience in caring for elderly that are in need of alternative living conditions. Come visit us soon to see if we can help with your needs. ALL canes, walkers, and wheelchairs welcome. We are a total handicap accessible home inside and out.
3 Ranier Roost Right in the heart of beautiful Ranier...gateway to Rainy Lake. Just three miles east of International Falls, we are nuzzled in one of the nicest and most friendly neighborhoods you ll find. Ranier Roost offers both private and semi-private rooms. Our sunroom offers year-round sunshine and warmth, and you can find the same outside in the summer on our main deck where you can catch ice cream, lemonade, and a BBQ going on. There s always plenty of room in one of our spacious living rooms, lounging areas, or special family/visitor areas to just relax or visit. Throughout the facility, you ll find multiple TV s and reading areas. Typically, Ranier Roost has been selected for residents that require more health care needs. With increased staff to resident ratios, and an RN right on site, our residents health care needs never wait and are always met when needed most. With RN s and LPN s on staff, we will cover most, if not all skilled nursing cares when needed. Wheelchairs are welcome. We have hospital beds, hoyer lift, personal alarms, standing lifts, and a facility wide alarm system for our resident s safety. Free memory screening appointments. Now offering our new A.D.O.R.E. Dementia Program. Papermaker s Place This home is tucked away just a couple miles west of International Falls on Highway 71. This country setting is beautiful, and resident s love to watch nature just outside their windows, and while lounging on our new deck system.
