Shubh arambh, the official launch and curtain raiser of the ZBF that invited all the co-zalawadi to brief them about the initiative, the proposed activities and the objectives of ZBF. With a lot of planning undergone for the past 8 months or so post t h e i n c e p t i o n, S h u b h arambh was indeed a great s u c c e s s t o a h u m b l e beginning with a house-full and more than expected crowds. What followed the inauguration was just not on anyone's cards. Speech after Speech we heard the veterans and the known faces talking about the importance of institutions, g i v i n g b a c k t o t h e community, taking lead without fear for a good cause and most importantly the message of being One...being United. Insights into seldom looked into matters such as success on planning were spoken about by the experts. In the same direction a m a i d e n p r o j e c t, Management Education P r o g r a m ( M E P ) w a s established. T h e M E P w a s inaugurated on the 25th October' 2013 at the Indian Business School (IBS), Hiranandani, Powai. The objective of this program is to provide a level playing field for the co-zalawadi and to enable them to compete and be on par with the corporate world. To widen their horizons, enable global thinking and create intellect for a brighter future. The 10 month program is suitable for all be it a housewife, a fresh graduate, an aspiring entrepreneur and even an e x p e r i e n c e d businessperson. With 46 participants already pursuing the course, the graduates would be adept in skill-sets required to begin & excel at an e x i s t i n g o r a s p i r i n g entrepreneurial venture. The modules in the program will work on various aspects s u c h a s s o f t s k i l l s, transforming ideas into a sustainable business idea, leadership & negotiation skills, management areas like marketing, finance, HR, legal framework and other relevant aspects. Just like any other management course MEP would be conducted through a mix of classroom lectures, case studies, presentation, assignments and exercises. On successful completion of t h e p r o g r a m t h e participants will be awarded a co-branded certificate by IBS & ZBF. It is the 1st Higher Education initiative by our community and we are proud of being the member of ZBF.
