About Prather Ranch Meat Company: Prather Ranch Meat Co. (PRMC) raises, distributes & sells the finest quality, humanely-raised, flavorful meat products, with a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and consumer education about where our products come from and how they are raised. We sell our meats at our retail Meat Shop in San Francisco s Ferry Building, at farmer s markets, and through a growing wholesale operation. We have expanded our Ferry Building presence by preparing our own tasty, cooked to order creations using our products at our new American Eatery, adjacent to our Meat Shop. Job Summary: The Farmer s Market Department is a dynamic and ever-growing arm of PRMC that fosters entrepreneurs and rewards demonstrated success. Our business model allows Farmer s Market Rig Leads to operate as an independent, small business owner. We encourage them to make decisions regarding ordering product, scheduling and sales that promote profitability for the company. They are supported by the Farmer's Market Team Lead and Sales Operations Manager and responsible for creating and submitting weekly reports. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Exceed our customers expectations for service and provide a welcoming environment for all in accordance with the PRMC customer service standards. 2. Farmer's Market Lead Responsibilities a. Develop and maintain ordering procedures, inventory management, and meat sales for the farmer's markets, coordinating with FM Team Lead and adhering to the PRMC policies and procedures. b. Assist FM Team Lead in sales planning and development.

2 3. Managerial Duties c. Communicating weekly and quarterly sales goals and objectives to team. d. Maintain farmer's market equipment to ensure proper functioning. e. Perform inventories as assigned by the FM Team Lead. f. Monitor and help ensure that department area and property is kept neat, orderly and clean. g. Maintain a working knowledge of new products and new technology within the industry. h. Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday i. Valid driver s license, clean DMV and a background check a. Establish the day's priorities and assign production and preparation tasks for team to execute b. Maintain product movement through first in, first out rule (FIFO). c. Help ensure that rig team adhere to scheduled shifts and are ready for work when their shift begins. Denote absences, tardies and shift changes on department master schedule and attendance log. d. Monitor and help ensure that rig team wear proper clothing during shift, including PRMC shirt. e. Process paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Use daily log and checklist as needed. f. Train, develop and assist in coaching team in customer service and work performance. g. Monitor employee work performance, taking corrective action as needed in accordance with established personnel policies. h. Ensure that communications to team are timely, clear, direct and respectful. i. Model supportive and participatory leadership qualities, promoting team building and motivating team to achieve departmental goals. j. Treat team with consistency and fairness in a style appropriate to a performance based work environment. 4. Financial Accountability a. Monitor and ensure labor and margin ranges comply with approved budget. b. Monitor and ensure direct and indirect expenses comply with approved budget. c. Understand equations, reports and financial terms used in the PRMC's management systems. d. Ensures that sales goals are met and exceeded 5. Abide by all PRMC policies and procedures as specified in the PRMC Employee Handbook. 6. Perform other tasks as assigned by Farmer's Market Team Lead and Sales Operation Manager.
