1 Fixed fee employment law and HR support for employers

2 HR Rely is a fixed fee package provided by Weightmans LLP for employers who want to access employment law and HR advice from experienced professionals, without fearing the ticking clock. How does HR Rely work? For an annual subscription, you have access to our HR Rely team for advice on employment law, employee relations and HR issues. As employment law is constantly changing we will also keep you updated on changes and developments in employment law as well inviting you to regular employment law briefings. HR Rely is a service offered by Weightmans LLP, a national law firm, with one of the largest employment law teams in the UK. Along with the Weightmans ethos, the HR Rely team s priority is to develop a strong relationship with you, by working with you in an approachable, proactive and positive manner to help you manage your legal responsibilities. What is included in the fixed fee? You will have unlimited access to two named advisors who you can contact by telephone or by or via face to face meetings to discuss employment law, employee relations or HR issues. You can contact our telephone helpline. We will review your employment policies and procedures e.g. disciplinary procedure, grievance procedure, harassment and bullying procedure etc. by way of a health check. The website is very easy to navigate around and to date has provided me with what I was looking for. The website provides downloadable guidance documents on a range of topics together with model letters and examples policies for you to use within your organisation.

3 You will receive both the Weightmans employment law newsletter (HR Focus) and the HR Rely newsletter on a regular basis together with updates when there is something newsworthy to report from the employment law perspective. Our aim is to work with you to avoid Employment Tribunals claims, whether by guiding you through the correct procedures or where a commercial decision is taken by you, assisting with the compromise agreement. However, if you wish to include Employment Tribunal representation as part of your fixed fee this is something that we can discuss with you. You will be invited to our regular HR Rely briefings and a employment seminars. These provide you with an opportunity to be briefed on what is new or topical in the world of employment law as well as the chance to network with other employers and HR professionals. Some of our HR Rely clients take comfort from having the additional protection of insurance in place should they face an Employment Tribunal claim. This enables them to have cover for their legal costs and any resulting compensation awards. We can arrange insurance to cover you against employee compensation claims, should you wish so. HR Rely is unique as it combines qualified employment advice with practical ER experience; advice is always relevant, fit for purpose and available when you need it. 4 What about training and HR consultancy support? As well as the HR Rely fixed fee service, we can provide additional employment law and HR support as and when the need arises although this is subject to an additional charge. Our other services include: Excellent presentation with good illustrated examples given and extra questions answered. Carter Retail Equipment Ltd HR Audit Plus This involves us carrying out a comprehensive assessment of your HR Policies and Procedures to ensure that that they are fully compliant with employment law and best practice and making the necessary changes to the policies and procedures or providing new policies where necessary. If you wish we can also assist in your implementing the changes or the policies into the workplace. Practical training We regularly carry out training for our HR Rely clients on employment law and HR issues. Our training can be delivered on a half day or full day basis, delivered at your workplace if you wish and in a format to suit your organisation. We like to provide practical and real life scenarios as part of any training course. Examples of the types of courses we run include: absence control, harassment, handling disciplinary and grievance matters, mock Tribunals, training for employee reps, managing in a union environment and negotiation skills. Consultancy support including mediation Our HR Rely team can deal directly or provide indepth support with HR and employment relations issues arising in your workplace. Our consultancy service allows you to outsource a particular issue where you don t have the time or experience to handle the matter, or are conflicted out of dealing with the issue. We can offer our consultancy services in the following areas: rewriting of handbook and procedures, investigating grievance or harassment complaints, mediation, handling a redundancy exercise, negotiations with trade unions and dealing with industrial action, to name several.

5 Health and Safety support As an employer you have a duty to ensure a safe working environment and to put into place arrangements to fulfill this statutory requirement. We can take the pressure off by working with you to improve your safety performance and ultimately your bottom line. A menu of services is available from which we can help design a package that meets your precise needs including: policy review and redraft; risk assessments; workplace inspections & audits; accident investigation & emergency response and telephone and support. 6 The HR Rely team Our HR Rely team is made up of both solicitors and HR professionals who all have many years of experience advising clients on employment law and employee relations matters. The team is also accomplished at representing clients at Employment Tribunal and negotiating with trade unions.
